The screws are needed. I bought a used wheel off eBay to make the switch on mine. The switches are held in place by the screws. The wiring harness had the connectors in place and I didn’t have to swap it out. Just the back cover and the switches. I will also say that in my ‘22, the shifts aren’t instant like in my Miata. There’s about a 3 second delay from when pulling the paddle until the transmission responds. I’ve learned how to time the shifts, but it did take adjusting to it before enjoying using the paddles.

Finally got around to installing the LED strip to the hood yesterday. While I was at it I installed the hood insulator pad. i wanted to have an OEM as possible look, so I used wire looms, split looms for positive and negative terminals. Didn’t take a photo, but used a fuse tap like others have.

Yes, I tapped the factory cargo light.

Finally had time to install the Cruz roof rack. I really like the fit. With lock set $399.00 I removed the Cruz stickers from the tower covers. I may look into custom stickers (Ford, Edge, etc.) in the future, but the empty square doesn’t bother me for now. These clear the panoramic roof too.
