my mother received the recall notice for her 2018 Edge and not long after that a DMV renewal notice that requires a smog check. the dealer is saying they do not have the part to complete the recall repair. are you suggesting to take it be smogged, and if pass then to NOT get the recall repair? she is up against the DMV deadline now. thank you
