I recorded a video yesterday but haven't posted it, yet. We have owned this car for 11 years and and my wife hasn't noticed a problem with rain water until last year. I am thinking that a seal finally cracked. After taking out the wheelwell, yesterday, I am starting to think that this car was in an accident prior to us owning it. Hint of an accident #1. I noticed that there wasn't any sound deadening foam in the fender. That is usually standard from the factory. The passenger side has it. Hint #2: After referring to ford's crowl parts, it seems like it is missing a couple of parts. However, it doesn't list a hose in the schematic. Perhaps, it is part of the fender piece, which is the one on the bottom right in the pic below. It is likely that the person that fixed it didn't bother to replace the hose or the other 2 missing parts. Going to go up to a local ford dealership to talk to them about ordering these parts for me. They might share some insight on the hose.

This is a pic of a Ford Flex crowl drain rubber piece. Maybe my edge is missing it. It looks like it would help channel the water past the gap. I tried looking for one for my edge on the autoparts stores but not luck.

I took the driver side wheel well liner off to get access to the crowl drain. Does anyone know if this is what it is supposed to look like? There isn't anything that is channeling the water to anywhere specific. The water just falls onto the liner. Which means that the water can enter the gap shown in the pic.

Yes, the leak was there before the new windshield. I thought that it was the seal and I took it to a place but they said that they did not do seals only replacement. So I went ahead and had the windshield replaced (with another company) to rule out a possible incorrect windshield and seal. In one of the videos above, I mention that I used both compressed air and water to blow through the cowl. I added weather stripping on the top part of the cowl where it touches the windshield to rule that out. Unfortunately, the rain stopped, at least, for the next week. Rare for the pacifice northwest.

I decided to take off the leaf trap, again. Here is a video. As you can see, there isn't any blockage.

I would appreciate any help on what to do next. Is it ok to caulk where the top part of the leaf trap (cowl vent) and the windshield meet? Should I try something else? My 2007 Ford Edge is leaking rain into the driver side. I removed the carpet to pinpoint it and I believe that I finally did. Here is a quick video of where it is coming from and a follow up video. Things that I have tried: Front windshield replaced by a professional. I cleared the windshield leaf trap. Actually, there was no debris in it to start with. I cleared the leaf trap run off (sorry don't know what it is called but I included it to the clarification video below). Follow up video showing the lower part of the leaf trap thingamabopper.

I figured out how to remove the seats (not sure how to disconnect from the seatbelts fromr the seats, however). I am having trouble removing the carpet that is under the side of the middle console. I removed the screw in the low right part in the pic but that didn't help. I tugged really hard but I think that the carpet goes up a ways. Any suggestions on how to remove the carpet from that part?
