In Regards to the Fuel access panel . They may not have the access panels on a 2010 and higher , he's talking about a 2008 and I can confirm there is a access panel to make it easier to access the fuel pump under the back seat on a 2008 ford edge as I'm currently experiencing something similar . I can hear the fuel pump kick on but it sounds faint or weakend to me but I just got the vehical so I know the fuel pump it's not as loud as other vehical. Like that zump sound after ingniting the ignition to on this one is a light very light zump sound you have to listen really well to hear it I'm not sure how this is supposed to sound in this vehical . The thing is I just filled the tank up about a mile after fueling up the car died and hasn't started since . While investigating and trying to figure out the reason the vehical died , I noticed the two wires green/black that sit above the motor towards the back of the motor slightly a nudge on the driver side basically sitting above the middle of the motor which I do believe the wires connect to the evap system the wires dry rotted apart wear the wire protector tube has wore off . I know the wires weren't broken two days prior. I know people say well that would t cause it to not start but it controls the air it takes the right amount of air , fire And fuel to start so with that broke I was thinking either the wires touched and blew a fuse or the senors not signaling the correct amount of air so it's not getting the right amount of fuel . I'm not sure I'm a woman who is just trying to figure this out to get my vehical started and going also I thought maybe refueling shook up the stuff in the bottom of the tank and clogged the filter but it's coincidental it happens the same time those wires dry rotted apart I rewired them and black taped them so they don't touch but any feed back would so greatly be appreciated thank you
