  1. Well it’s the end of the road for my 2014 Ford Edge Limited. A little sad because it was a great run with the most reliable car I’ve ever owned! 227 000 great kms in the harsh salt belt of southern Ontario. The suspension and mounts need work on all four corners, finally out weighing he value of the car. Plus the rockers are starting to show too much rust. Trading it in for a new Tiguan this week. Can’t praise the life the Edge has given me enough! Only ever a prop shaft and shocks, done under warranty, the rest all routine maintenance. Brakes, tires, tie rod ends, batteries, spark plugs etc. I was always prompt with service done mostly myself. Full synthetic oil changes every 6 months, PTU suction and fills every 60 000 kms, coolant drain and fills every 60 000 kms, transmission fluid at 100 000 kms. The car never left me stranded it’s whole life, everything still works, camera, sensors, power lift gate, adaptive cruse control, etc. The engines still really pulls and the transmission still really smooth, ac still nice and cold too! The total surprise is that it’s still on its factory, power steering pump, ac compressor, alternator, starter, and water pump. At my last oil change the bottom of the oil pan was completely clean, so it’s never leaked. I know automotive forums tend to be a place for complaints, so I thought I’d share a positive story! The Edge has been a great family hauler for the last decade and we’ll sure miss it! Hah I even got board during 2020 times and installed a Magnaflow stainless steel performance cat back exhaust. Sounds great!
