I left the ford dealership not knowing that there were comments on the "maintenance needs" section. I'm having trouble understanding what the technician wrote because his writing was as legible as a doctor writing a prescription. Any help?
Ps. Working on uploading image via mobile.

If its a aftermarket radio you may need a harness that connects the sub to radio. If its the stock radio you may want to make sure that sub cable is connected
-
Just to follow up. There is a extra harness needed if the vehicle is equipped with a factory sub. This fixed my sub problem. As far as the door speakers, no luck getting the bass to sound like it did with factory radio...

Hey fourm,
I have a problem after installing an aftermarket double din radio. I do not have any bass coming from my speakers like I did from my factory radio. I have the audiophile speaker system, but after the install, neater the factory subwoofer works or the bass. I really appreciate your comments and thoughts.
Thanks,
Jorge

I replaced the fog lights with Hellas. Much better light. I have HID in the Hella fogs on the Mountaineer and will soon have them on the MKX. As you can see from the pics the Ford fogs are really a poor imitation of a projector fog light.
I was wondering why the foglights's output wasn't so bright. Seemed like it was a projector fog light but I guess I was disillusioned. In the future I will be likely to get some projectors and install them where the fogs are and figure out if I can install inside the headlight. Thanks

Hi Everybody,
I recently added HID lights on the fog lights and I noticed that inside the fog light where the bulb it placed, there was a plate that is slightly opened. I was wondering If I should remove that plate so the HID can let mote light out. Has anybody tried this? I might try it when I have time, then post before and after pics for ya. Thanks

Thanks, one you replyed I tried it and I finnaly got it off, Thanks

I'm trying to remove the plastic bezel from the drivers side foglight. My passengers bezel is broke and now it's just empty space, but the drivers side has the plastic. It looks funkey to me, but if anybody has any advice on removal I would appreciate it so much. Thanks

Hello,
I am not sure if this is normal for the edge but when I'm pulling out of a parked space the car shakes when I turn the wheel. I took my vehicle to the dealership but they said it's normal. I don't believe them so I am asking the real Edge experts. My questions, Do you have the same problem, or isn't normal?
I have a 09 Edge with only 4,000 miles. Will post pics later.
Thanks!

Good luck. :beerchug:
Hi Jorge. :D Paint/repair costs can vary widely by region. You are in Texas and I am not too familiar with the costs there, so I will give an educated guess compared to the my region of the US.
Everything I reply from here on assumes that the "scratches" are not removable/repairable by wet-sanding/compounding or other do it yourself types of paint repair, and that the bumper must be repainted (only you can determine that).
First, if you are the least bit picky, the job can not be done properly without removing the bumper cover from the car. So the bumper cover will need to be removed from the vehicle and completely repainted. For a proper job, the damaged area should not be spot painted. Assuming there is no damage underneath, then the fog light cover is an inexpensive piece (maybe $20 or less) to replace and can be ordered from the Dealership or any of several online Ford Parts Retailers.
My guesstimate for a complete bumper cover removal, repair and repainting? Approximately $600 (or more) for a good job. Of course, you could go cheap, but as chewydawg stated, "...then what do you have?"
And again, this is just an educated guess on vehicle damages which I have not seen, and taking into account several rear bumper light-scratch repair/repainting estimates for my wife's car after it was rear-ended.
In the end, while I know your time is short, your best bet is to go to a few Collision repair shops for estimates.
Hey, I appreciate your input, first I think I am going to get the plastic fog cover and wait for the complete paint job. I first have to work on my son's birthday then after I will look around when I can. Again, I appreciate your help.

Hello Friends,
I just got my 09 Edge two months ago and rear ended a car. Stupid me!!! My question is how much would it cost for a paint job for my left corner. There are no dents but scratches, also I lost my plastic cover for my left fog light. Since I don't have time to invest in looking around I would appreciate it if anybody can help me out with the pricing of the paint.
Thanks,
Jorge

I'm not sure what the SEL's MSRP for....but I can tell you what I paid for my recently purchased EDGE. About 2 months ago, I paid $31,400 for an AWD Ford Edge Limited with Vista Roof. The MSRP for mine was approximately $36,500 (plus/minus $100 -- I can't recall exactly).
Now I was able to use a $3000 promotion that was going on then. I'm not sure if that is still the case. But, I traveled all the way from NYC to DC to buy the car (after extensive phone negotiations). No other dealers would come near that price.
Sounds like you did an excellent job negotiation, good price. There was no promotions available on Edges at Houston, only simple rebates. I appreciate your insight
Thanks

Never ask that question AFTER you bought it! You bought it so you must be happy with it so from that standpoint I'd say yes, you got a good deal and leave it at that. And be sure to ask for help before you buy the next one.
Lol, OK its understandable, Thank you though
