Same exact thing for me. Left turns only. Car will lose power, light comes on...feels like you just stomped on the brake. I even hear a whining or buzzing noise while this is happening. I was advised a while back from my local Ford garage that it was a Steering Angle (or Angular) Sensor. They said it would cost me about $350 because it wasn't covered under the Powertrain Warranty. I didn't have that kind of money though

Just thought I'd add that it looks like I had the same issues fordfanatic described. They say my Steering Angle Sensor (or something like that) needs replace. Since I only have powertrain warranty left, I have to pay for this out of pocket. It's going to be like $315! Anyone have any ideas how I could get this done cheaper??? For the time being I'm just going to do without. The tech said it wouldn't damage anything, I just might not have TC.

This could have just solved my problems I've been having! Sounds like the same issue I'm having. I'm going to print this out, as I'm taking it to the shop today. Is this something that is covered under the powertrain warranty?

Just joined the forum yesterday. Glad to be here. I drive a 2007 Edge SEL Black in color. No mod's at this point other than the smashed in hood and grill from a deer the other day! :angry: $1,600 damage isn't too bad though. Getting that fixed next week. :shades:

I've got a 2007 SEL just like this. Black and all. Minus the Sirius option. Just joined the forum as well.
