YES! My 2009 Ford Edge Limited (purchase April 2009 at Erinwood Ford in Mississauga) started this high frequency noise about two weeks into driving it.
My attempts to have this resolved have failed flat out. So now I am stuck with a $46k SUV that is pure torture to drive when it is loud.
Since Erinwood Ford and Ford Canada have been unresponsive, I have no choice but to advise all my interested friends to stick with Honda.
We almost bought a second Ford but with such a serious design issue which will only affect younger drivers due to the hearing range of younger people, i would only reccomend Ford to those above age 40.
Ford Canada told me that they need to have enough complaints before the problem would be fixed. I seriously wish i could return for a refund due to this one single issue. Its a shame because I LOVE LOVE LOVE everything else about the vehicle.
Its not just me either. There are thousands of complaints in various forums.
