  1. Sounds like a plan, the only reason I went to this Maaco was my friends '03 Dodge Ram went there for an overhaul...and my God that thing came out gorgeous...for $600...But yeah I'll check with a dealership around here and see what I can dig up.
  2. Akirby, You seem pretty knowledgable from the posts I read so maybe you could debunk this. I took my 07' Edge SE to my local Maaco, and they stated they could paint the spoilers...no problem, but the paint will probably not adhere properly and just be a waste of money. It sounded to me like he was making it up on the spot, do you have any more info on whether painting the material the spoiler/handles will not adhere properly to the paint? Any answers or experiences on this would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Sorry I didn't update like I said I would. Life took a swerve to the left and it left me on the corner for a little while. The drive across the States with the Ford Focus in tow went smoothly for the most part. As previously stated, braking needs to thought out well in advance, but other than that amazing drive and the Edge handled it like a champ. Almost lost this bad boy due to a divorce but thankfully the ex saw things my way and agreed to taking the Focus....bwahaha.
  4. Just wanted to give a heads up to those interested/curious, I'm a towing a 2005 Ford Focus Sedan on a tow dolly from Beale AFB, CA (Northern California) to Dover, DE. I have a 2007 Edge SE AWD with a class II hitch installed, the last time I weighed our haul it was at 3489.37 pounds. We've packed the Focus with a lot of items that we needed/movers couldn't take with them. We are in Colorado at the moment but from what I've noticed, the previous users stating to be wary of braking properly couldn't have been more right, the extra tow almost controls this vehicle's momentum and you need to definitely slow down way in advance. I've been cruising at the speed limit(70-75 mph) and slowing down to 55 mph if necessary when going up hill. After checking our fluids everything is going well, and I'll update this post again once we've hit our final destination with battle damage if any. We were taking the I-80E but got bored with scenery and decided to move down to I-70, which was an awesome idea considering the view we've had so far.
