Been a while since I've been on here.

1. Keep up the fight Blizzard!!

2. I still have my sunroof issue, less frequent lately for some reason.

3. Roof actually completely quite at one point.

4. I would estimate my vehicle has been in for the sunroof rattle or another rattle that was caused by the at least 12 times.

5. I have a rattle from right rear passeng seat, that started after they were trying to eliminate the sunroof rattle. They have tried to fix this a good 5 times.

I asked for to replace my vehicle...pretty much got laughed at.

I brought my vehicle to another dealer who looked at it and said that the roof should be replaced, then refused to do it. Said it's my original dealers issue!

I called customer service and said wanted to have it fixed at another dealer, they did a 3 way call with the dealer that refused and my original dealer. Customer service came back on the phone and said I HAD to take it to the opriginla dealer.

In the mean time I am telling anybody who will listen. I have managed to scare off 14 potential ford owners. My goal is 100!

Will never EVER buy a FORD again. 1st and last!

Oh ya ...my drivers seat is now loose.

Plain and simple, until my issues are fixed with my 2010 Edge, I am singing like a bird. I tell my neighbors, family, friends, teammates, and co-workers aboyt the trouble I have had and that I'm not the only one. The in turn do the same.

Ford customer service has been in touch with to get it fixed. I have told them until they have a fix for the Vista Roof, I am not interested in brining in it for more trial an error which has caused more squeeks, rattles, creaks and cracks.

My Edge is a peice of crap.....Plain and simple!

I took my 2007 Edge to the dealer this week and let them do the TSB on the rear moonroof. Sadly, they actually made the squeak worse. After having my wife drive me around while i was in the back I found the source of the squeak. The squeak is coming from a styrofoam support piece under the corner of the headliner. Has anyone else had this issue? I'm able to put my hand against the styrofoam to get the squeak to stop. Does anyone have any ideas on how i can fix this issue? I'm thinking i can get something to wedge against it it'll fix it, but i'd like to hear other ideas first.

Any resolution to this? I have a 2010 and almost the same issue, mine seems to come from the FRONT moonroof, passenger side, REAR corner

I used Sayville Ford on RT27, Sayville, NY. Ford told them to stop working on it. That they spent enough time on it. That was at 3000 miles, obviously still under warranty. The rep figures they know it will be Lemon Lawed, so don't wangt to waste time on it. I believe the quote for it and all the problems was approx. ," The vehicle as is is characteristic of the vehicle". That is what was relayed to me from Ford. Lovely. I still have my other problems. The seat back is getting looser. Just waiting to hear something back from my lawyer at this point.

Thanks very much. I hope you get it replaced! I don't think we are as well protected here in Canada. My dealer is still trying to fix the issue and have been great to keep trying, but it sucks that I own a vehicle that I hate becaue it has so many ratlles!

Exactly the same as mine. When I bought the vehcile it was quiet, then November came and it began. It will still happend in the summer, just not as often, and the rain stops it.

I know it's not on all Edges because I've driven in others and they ran quietly.

I think I did hear some noise from the roof, when it was -20C here in Canada, but it's not a big deal to me. It gos away in warmer weather and it's almost unnoticeable when you close the roof skirt.

Main thing for me is that the moon roof doesn't leak.

I doubt you are having it. It's louder and occurs more often when it's colder but also happens when it's warm. My last test drive with the service manager last week it was +20 here in Ottawa. It was rattling around like they had never fixed it. This was after them replacing the roof liner.

If you are having the issue you'll know it for sure when it's happening...it will drive you up the wall.

Mine was coming from the right rear part of the front glass sunroof. The colder it was, the more it happened. Every small bump in the road caused it to rattle/squeak. If you pushed up on the glass and released quickly, you heard it also. Thye tried lubing the gasket which did no good. They took apart the inside liner to get to the track, and found 2 metal rollers that weren't padded. Padding them didn't help. The rep said they used to remove and replace the whole thing. They would need to send it to a body shop too chisel out the 2 metal plates that run along the glass on the outside, replace the hardware, put new plates back on and have them repainted to match. This was on both the Ford and Lincoln versions. They stopped because of the cost. They know this is a problem with the design. This, with all of my other problems...brakes, tranny, gps/sirius, seat memory, seat rocking, door latch etc. tells me they dropped the ball. I have found other people onloine with the same problems, just not all in one vehicle. If you have any of these problems as well, contact a lawyer now, as it takes a couple months.

This is exactly what mine does. They have tried several things as well including a new roof liner. Still not fixed.

Is anbody else having this issue? I highly doubt blizzard and I are the only two 2010 edge owners with this issue.

Are there any Ford Edge techs that follow this thread that can help?

If you have this issue you will know. It will drive you nuts. It will make HATE your Edge and want to never ever buy a Ford again.

Nah, this is confirmed by everyone as coming from the right rear portion of the front sunroof. I hold my Iphone up to the glass and make recordings LOL

Same with mine..rear right corner area of the Vista roof. Please let me know if you get it fixed and I'll do the same.

Has anyone had any experience with the Lemon Laws and the 2010 Edge? I have a 4 month old Edge Ltd with 3000 miles. It has been in the shop 6 times. I spent 3 mornings at the service dept, and lost it another 3 times with a total of 26 days out of service where they provided a loaner vehicle. The main problem is the rattling noise from the sunroof. They have tried to fix it 5 times. They know it is an issue, but Ford stopped replacing sunroofs a while back, and now try to find fixes. They have tried lubing parts, and found unpadded dowels, but it is still rattling away. Now, they say that they will not replace the roof, or work on it anymore. They said to come pick it up, or I will be charged for the loaner. Basically, deal with it. Also, it has been in on these visits for a Tire Pressure Sensor fault ( happened 3 hours after I picked it up), Iphone incompatibilty ( their website said it was compatible), the transmission was slipping and slamming me from behind, all 4 brake rotors had to be recut at 2600 miles (pads were fine and they said it happens), the door latch had to be adjusted, the USB port failed and needed repair, the memory seats are losing their memory and the GPS/Sync is having problems (location errors, weather update not connecting and an icon saying NoGPS on the screen, even though it is tracking). As they will no longer work on the roof, which they have confirmed and documented has a problem, are they not in violation of the warranty? They could replace the sunroof and fix the problem, but just don't want to spend the money. So, go away. The service tech who notified me said that Ford states the problems are "characteristic" of the vehicle. What does that mean? I notified a lemon law attorney and also just sent off the required paperwork for NY State Attny Gen New Car Lemon Law Arbitration, as they have left me no choice. I don't trust this vehicle. If all these systems are failing, how can i assume it won't brake down at a dangerous time or possibly cause an accident. Again, anyone else have all these problems, and how did you deal with it? WOW I also have a 2010 Edge and have the Sunroof issue. It's back at the dealers today for the 5th time. Last time they replcaed the entire roof liner. Issue still not solved. The dealer said they've never expirienced this issue. It's extremely anoying and I absolutely HATE my Edge because of it. Please let me know if you get yours fixed! I'm in Canada.

This has happened to me as well. It's happened 4 times! I can't reproduce it though. I've had my2010 Edge 6 months.

WOW! I have a 2010 Edge and rattles like crazy!! Going to the dealer for the 2nd time on Monday. What is BAMR?? Wher should I find the loose pice. I also have some creaking noise that sounds like it coming from the rear passenger door area. But the VISTA roof is very bothersome!

I don't think I can live with it nor should I live with it. This is my first Ford, hopefully not my last! I'm going to take it to the dealer for the 2nd time next week.

am I the only one with this issue??

Sorry it's not Ice on the Glass. It was +10 C here today, and it still did it. It just does it more when it's cold and does it louder.

This is my first Ford vehicle, I can't imagine they all creak and crack like this. It does it at low speeds on minor road cracks.

I've had it in once to the dealer and they said they re-attached and secured the "vista connectore in the head liner??" . It didn't help.

My Edge Creaks and Cracks. Does it more when it cold out and sounds like it's coming from the Vista Roof. Anyone else have the same expirience? This is driving me nuts.

Is this the TSB for the seal breaking loose? My roof rattles after 600 miles. It is really bugging me. Does anybody have the actual TSB number?

Looking for this TSB number....I have a 2010 with Vista and the creaking is driving me nuts! It creaks more when it's cold. Dealer has re-attached the roof connectors?? but problem has continued.

Just an update, I have a 2010 Edge and live in Canada. I ordered the product from TRD Sparks as mentiones in this thread. It was the cheapest I could find. The part came in a Toyota Box (said genuine Toyota part) and fit perfectly! Thanks to everyone on here for the info.

Really easy to install.

In hind sight, seeing the part is for a toyota, and says Toyota on the box, I'm sure any Toyota dealer can get it and I could have saved the shipping and brokerage fees that I had to pay for ordering it online.

In the end I paid just over 100 cdn. 45 part, 30 shipping, 30 duty.
