Does anyone know what is needed to retain the factory satellite ratio on an aftermarket head unit? I can't find a straight answer anywhere Thanks

I found on another site that no adaptor for steering wheel controls is needed on ford vehicles with this unit, but I still can't find any info on the factory satellite radio....
