Hi everybody, I went to NYC from Montreal last friday....I'm really happy with MPG....made round trip (about 597miles or 961km) with two fuel up. First 13.2 gallons, the second 13.3....if I made the righ calculation it's 22.5miles per gallon (about 10.45l/100km). Four adults with lugage in car...average speed 75miles/hour . Incredible confort and handling....can't say anything wrong with my EDGE 2011 FWD. Just few bugs with the MyFord Touch.....GPS very slow and map outdated, Sirius does't work from Canada to USA (why??) and no way for Canadian to make SYNC work in USA....Ok I understand for Canada market but when I travel to south of the border why on earth can I use the same service I paid for......enyway...... Nice trip PAT

Hi again, First hope you will forgive, like I stated before my English mistakes....The 2011 is by far one of the best car I ever owned. I was looking between the Mercedes GLK350 and the Acura MDX when I took a trip with a friend who owns a 2010 MKX...love the car so much I start last year to look for my first American car in decades ( my last US made car was a 1995 Jeep Cherokee). Since I'm also Canadian, I was pleased to know the EDGE as the MKX is made here in Oakville. So I ordered on May 14th my Edge Limited FWD. I took delivery Thuesday, so far the vehicle is simply Awsome. Improvement for quality material and ergonomics over 2010. Few things I was really impressed by the quality of the custumer service at Oakville from Johanne who was always kind and professional every time I called to know when I would expect my truck. The other thing I was impress when I took the Edge is the paint. Wow realy impressive. Sound and handling is also 10/10. Nothing to say and I drove BMW and Mercedes before. Just a little wind noise from the window on highways, beside that the new Edge is a temple and a shrine for quietness. Ok, As for the Sync issue. First I can't find the web browser in the system. I was told we could surf on the internet with the 8inch screen. I can't hook the wi-fi on my network. I see my router but can't connect with the sync....I also own a Iphone 4 and can't also connect or tethering with it. Also, Sync is slow...ok we are now use to Smart phones and ipads, but sometimes the screen go crazy and when you want to go back to a previous menu it go back to the main menu.....I also have a minor issue with the Nav system, maps are really outdated. My house was built in 2005 and still no street on the sd card. I found a thing strange to, my sync is set in French, but when the lady voice announce a coming street with the nav system the mesure are in imperial (like in 1/4 of a mile turn left) but all my settings are in metric....weird....found no place to fix that. And finally, I have over 500 songs in my Iphone, when I play some mp3 not all the pics of the albums show on screen...some do some don't....even if all my song have album covers in my phone. One last thing, I'm afraid the power lift gate won't last long...when I open it, it wiggle and make strange noise...will report that to my next service.... But don't be afraid to buy this all the sync problems will be fix with the next update.....I'm sure.... So hope I didn't destroy Shakespeare heritage..... Thanks, keep hope for those waiting to take delivery, worth the wait.

After 1 year of waiting, I finaly took delivery today at 7pm of my new 2011 EDGE Limited FWD. For those who want to know. I ordered on may 14th, the dealer reordered on july 19th. They serialized my Edge on 8-16, truck was built 8-30 and took delivery today. Will post pictures tomorow. One think I like very much so far is the cruise control, i don't have the radar option, but when you set the cruise the speed show just under the tank level and you can increase an lower easily. Very please so far...realy good car.... Thanks PAT

Hi thomasford405, You are maybe right.....Let me explain something. My salesman ordered my Edge Limited on May 14th, but on July 18th he reordered the same vehicule in case the first one would be stuck for quality control at the factory (like the mustang). So is it the one ordered on may 14th I'm getting on sept 6 or the one ordered on July 18th ??? I don't know, but I clearly asked twice with different person at CRC in two different languages, they both confirmed dilivery date sept 6. Thanks, will keep hope for first week of september..... (Sorry for the english mistakes)..... PAT

Hi everyone, I got tears in my eyes, pinch my self twice. The lady at CRC told me that my delivery date is sept 6....I asked twice to make shure, even called the service in french....yes build date 30th of august and delivery 6 of september......Does anyone have a delivery date... Thanks JGilles, Finaly talk to sales director at my dealer, got my production date on 30th of august. The delivery date is still TBD so will cross finger for mid september....

Hi , Totaly agree whith Akirby. Incentives can be freeze on order and at delivery, so you choose the best discount to you. Now, last friday I placed my order for a 2011 Edge LTD. Now I'm elegible for the first payment incentive, but like you said, it's likely to see best deal in July. And since production start only at the end of june, you won't take delivery before July. The longer you wait to order, more chance to wait as well for your vehicule. See u PAT

Hi Wayne, I was going for the 2010 model, when my salesman point me that the GPS is now 700$ Can$ instead of 2300$. When my salesman went to see someone at the Financial departement he left the price sheet on the desk and I took look here's what I saw (took picture with my cell phone) SE FWD 27999$, SEL FWD 33999$, SEL AWD 35999$, LTD FWD 37799$, LTD AWD 39799$, SPORT AWD 43499$, add 1400$ to all the prices for shipping. The main difference is 2010 model in Canada came with the power lift gate as standard on LTD, now you are require to buy the drivers entry package that come with remote start, alarm, push start button and lift gate at 1000$ all other option are almost same price. New package call Tourism (I have no clue if it will be the same in english but here in Québec its tourisme package) Vista Roof and GPS for 1850$. Adaptive Cruise control is 1500$, HID headlight is 600$ (I could't resist for this one). So all this in canadian dollars, I have no clue for US, check with your dealer. Hi, I agree with everyting said, vista roof is the way to go. Plus in Canada there's a package (60T) call tourism package. You get the vista roof for 1850$ and you get the GPS free (700$). Just ordered mine friday. PAT

Hey Thanks, I know incentive won't be as good as now....but like my salesman told me, 2010 production stop next week and 2011 production start in July. So since 2010 inventory is already low and 2 month without Edge being built, I hope for good incentive in august......Enyway, made a good choice, 2011 on paper was more appealing to me. By the way, since you saw it in person in Aurora, what's your impression on the 2011. Thanks again PAT

Hi 1dufos, No price does not include taxes. I'm in the Montréal area.....With GST and Québec PST come to 46807$ canadian, but I have the first payment pay by Ford. Hope incetive will be better on delivery day..... See U

Here's the spec... 2011 Edge Limited Front wheel drive 39199$ canadian options: Tourist package 1850$ (Nav system and Vista roof) this package save you 700$ 20" chrome wheel 800$ Driver entry package witch include Push-Button Start, power liftgate, remote start and perimeter alarm. 1000$ Towing package 500$ HiD headlamp 600$ Rubber mat 100$ So got all this with x-plan for 41450$ can I can wait to drive it.....
