  1. I have a noise I can't figure out. It sounds like a rock hitting the bottom of the vehicle. Sometimes it sounds like it's in the front right other times the rear. It happens usually over 50 Mph and sometime will repeat every 10-20 seconds.

    It's a 2012 FWD if that makes a difference.

  2. standing in front of the vehicle with hood up looking towards back of vehicle

    1 2 3

    O O O

    ----------

    O O O

    4 5 6

So to confirm this, 1 and 4 are on the passenger's side and 3 and 6 on the driver's side?

I guess this means my misfire on 2 would be the one that is buried at the back not the easily accessible ones at the front. That figures.

    Thanks

  3. My Edge sets up a rattle as it goes through 2,500 RPM but then stops above and below that range. Initially I thought it was the rear license plate but after making sure that was tight, it still does it. It actually sounds like it might be a heat shield. I saw another thread on rear wheel bearings causing a noise but I wouldn't expect that to come and go through an RPM range.

    Anyone else have something similar?

    Thanks

I have the same issue on a 2008. I thought it was the rear license plate as well. That is the exact sound it makes. I don't find mine is at a certain rpm tho, I think it's more to do with the wind. What I think it is on mine is the actually rear bumper, atleast the plastic covering the bumper seems to rattle. If i tap the rear bumper I can reproduce the exact same rattle. I just figured this out, but I have crawled under it yet to see if there is an easy fix.

  4. I believe they offer both heated and non heated

ya, but i'm actually asking if it's possible to upgrade to heated, if you can just plug it into the harness, or if it's a different harness all together. Basically i'm wondering if the car is wired for heated mirrors but the mirrors themselves just arent the heated model. I would love to add heat to my mirrors as the rearview mirror doesn't show alot in this vehicle. and winter in canada pretty much makes your side mirrors useless without heat.
