I've plugged many tires and never had an problem with the plug leaking or coming out. I understand that the "potential" exists, but if done right, there should be no issues.

I agree. I carry a plug kit in all my vehicles. I've never had a problem with a plug.

I highly agree, only what is available at the time of purchase. The $2,000. + the extra $1,000. is now the locked in rebate until Jan. 10, 2010. The extra $750 ended for all on the first of November. I spent 20 yrs with ford in f&i, leasing and GSM as well as gm.

 

I just picked up a new 2010 Edge Se. I was charged $400.00 under factory invoice, but there was also a dealer fee of $499.00......... Net price was $100.00 over. Dealers use this prep for additional PROFIT. Because of the normal pre printed contract already shows a fee included, my car was sold to me "under invoice". You cant expect to pay less than $100.00 profit, in fact if you can really get out the door for this price you have done very well.

 

For those that are considering purchasing a new vehicle, and don't have the stuff to get you there go to overstock.com. Yes, they use a service that can get you all of the deals. If your price is not marked as a great price, open your search area for additional dealers.

Never pay "dealer fees"... and the Overstock.com published 'dealer invoice' is high. The actual dealer invoice is lower. Much closer to the TrueCost price listed.

Unfortunate, but don't let this issue make you dislike the vehicle. Once all the bugs are out, you will find it to be very capable, comfortable and fun to drive. Good Luck!

I won't blame the vehicle for the incompetence of it's builders. But I do find it inexcusable for a vehicle that retails for over 40k.

Seems like the fenderwell clip is missing. Also, the front bumper will clip into the fender but it has to pushed hard......and I mean hard. Your bumper looks exactly like my wifes after a run in with a deer. That really does suck to have this issue on a new car, but it does happen. Hope you get everything taken care of to your satisfaction.

There's nothing to clip to. The clips and upper retainer bracket are MIA.

Cars get damaged coming off of the semi's often from what I have been told.

No damage. Just missing parts.

Maybe it was damaged and repaired by the dealer and it was done sloppy?

We picked it up the same day it came off the truck. It was never even test driven.

Hi all. We just added a new 2010 Edge Limited to our garage. Looks pretty good and drives ok... but the build quality has me less than impressed. 2nd day we had the EDGE I was washing it and noticed the front bumper is VERY loose on the drives side. Upon inspection I can see missing fasteners that were obviously never installed. Took it to the dealership whom looked it over as well. They agreed that the parts were never there... and now it sits parked waiting for the parts the dealership had to order. Bolts, clips, upper retainer bracket, etc... Maybe it will be back together before the holiday.

"Quality is job 1"??? Anyone else have missing parts on their brand new Edge???
