Boy,,,big mistake getting the light stone interior in cloth. Every little fart shows up on the seats. Are there any nice seat covers out there for the Edge that work with the air bag system? If you do, please post a picture. Thanks

I replaced the wheel yesterday and the wheel just popped right off after removing the nut. Now the leather wheel feels great in my hands. The only thing that does not work is the radio buttons. They light up but they do not operate the radio at all. The original SE wheel has no radio controls: can the radio be reconfigured? I purchased the El Cheapo model. The wiring diagrams state that there is wires leading from the clockspring to the radio module. Is a reprogram in store to get the controls working?

So I understand that there is an issue with certain Edge heater cores. Instead of waiting around for the core to fail, is there any preventive measure to do? Has anybody spoken to the dealer about changing the coolant? Will the gold coolant fail if changed before 100K miles? Will the new Green coolant be used in place of the gold if the flush in not performed? I just do not want to wait for this to be a concern. I would like to nip this in the bud before any action is required.

Has anybody cleaned the seats on their SE Edge's? The base material is difficult to clean. The truck I have has the light stone interior and boy did I make a mistake for getting that color. Every speck of dirt shows up. Then it looks like the dog peed' the seat after shampooing. What are you using? I heard that the Ford F150 also has this same lousy material and Ford has a specific cleaner for it. Has anybody used it?

I just purchased a brand new leather steering wheel on Ebay for $115. Absolutely flawless. Any tips on installing it? Will I need a steering wheel puller to get the old one off? Santa was good to me this year.

I bought a set of the Ford All Weather floor mats and let me tell you that I think they stink. The coverage on the driver side is very minimal compared to some of the aftermarket designs. We just had a snow storm and the carpets are dirty and wet. Lets see some pictures of what is out there in our Edge's and MKX's.

Please let us know if the Dynamat works. I will buy it and lay it down if it does. I am also thinking about lining the wheel wells with that stuff. I am glad that others think that this truck is a bit noisy as well.

Do all of the Edge's have excessive road noise when driving? There is a constant roaring noise when driving from the rear of the vehicle. Definitely tire noise. I rotated the tires and the noise is the same. The wheel bearing are ok. Has anybody felt that these trucks are a bit "road noisy"? I almost think that Ford did not insulate the wheel well areas at all. I want to purchase some DynaMat and paste it everywhere behind the driver. Has anyone done this?

My used 2008 had some door creaks by the door latch area and all I did to correct it was to lube the door latch. Use Krytox grease. That is the stuff that Ford recommended to repair creaks on the tailgate on a Ford Escape. It worked for that concern, and it certainly worked for my Edge. After it was lubed, it was super quiet. No more body creaks.

Has anybody installed an aftermarket reverse park aid system and if so which company did you you go with? There are a bunch of them out there; just trying to figure out which system is the most reliabe and easy to install.

Does anybody have any door sill plates installed on their Edge's that are painted or chrome? Looking for pictures if you have them. I am scuffing the heck out of the door sill every time I get in the truck with my boots on.

Are the wires in the ceiling of the truck if the vehicle was not produced at the factory with the auto dim feature? Or is a rewire needed?

Hello there, I just took a trip to Maryland after doing a 4 wheel brake job on a 2008 Edge SE. I cut the rotors due to a vibration and changed the brake pads to NAPA's high end Adaptive One series front and back. Was going to use the Motorcraft, but was looking to improve the feel of the brake pedal which I feel is mushy. I drove over 500 miles and the brake pedal is very mushy. Note that the pedal was exactly the same before the brake job was performed. These brakes feel lousy compared to my other vehicles that are Blue Oval designs. My Freestyle brakes are hard as a rock with no free play at all. The Edge feels like I am driving an old vehicle from the 70's with drums that are out of adjustment. Mushy, with about 1" of free play. To me they just do not feel correct. Has anyone bleed the system using DOT 4 to possibly correct this condition? Changed out a master cylinder? Anything to improve this? I do feel that everyone here knows what I am talking about. When I went to the Ford dealer to ask some questions, they just told me that is the way the brakes are on those vehicles. I am not buying it. If it is normal, shame on Ford for putting such a poor system into production.

Has anyone purchased Sportwing moldings for their Edge? Are they worth the price? Also, they have a rear bumper cover. How is the quality of their products?

Hello there, new to the forum. 2008 Edge in the lineup. Has anyone used the Silverstar headlight bulbs in their Edge's? Has anyone had any electrical problems with using these in their trucks? I have heard that the Edge may be problematic with aftermarket headlight bulbs.
