  1. I have a 2007 Edge SEL FWD with 51k miles. The transmission does not always lock up right away when shifting from R to D. If feels like the clutch plates don't engage right away and creates a sudden jerk when they due (subject to throttle position). I have not noticed the problem from shifting from P to D. I've checked the transmission fluid level and it's fine. Also the fluid on the dipstick looks ok, light red in color. I took it to the dealer when it was still under warranty, but they couldn't reproduce the problem. Since then, the problem has gotten worse. Are there others that have the same problem? Any TSBs for this issue? Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Scott
  2. I have a 2007 Edge with 45k miles and getting a vibration while braking. I appears to be a rotor issue and the condition is getting worse. I may be able to get the stock ones turned or replaced but I feel pretty confident that I will run into the same problem down the road. Does anyone have a recommendation on non-OEM rotors and/or brakes? I'm interested in a moderately priced upgrade without braking the bank (no pun intended). Thanks, Scott
  3. That makes sense, I wonder what they charge. Thanks for the info. Scott
  4. I was planning of ordering a new IKT key from eBay and programming it myself. Although the manual states that you must have 2 working keys to program an extra key. Is there a procedure for programming a new key when only 1 working key exists?
  5. I just bought a used 2007 Edge SEL yesterday. I noticed that the front left speaker sounds garbled at low volume. The interesting thing is while looking for cars, I discovered the same issue in another Edge. The audio system has a 6 disc changer and 4 speakers. My question is: Is this a known problem with the audio system, and if so does the problem occur with the receiver or speaker? The car is still under warranty, so I definitely want to get it fixed if it's the receiver. But if the problem is in the speaker I may not bother with the dealer and put in new, better sounding speakers.
