  1. I actually don't like the factory tail lights that the edge has with all the chrome i'm in the process of purchasing the Edge sport tail lights for the blackout look. So it looks like the hood scoop idea is a no go LOL anyways i think the only way i would put a scoop on would be to buy a new hood and cut out and mold something nice like the srt-8 charger or something like that. I'll have to say it was fun to see everyone chyme in on this question thanks for everyone's input it was entertaining Matt
  2. The scoop i would like to see fit properly would be a Roush scoop that is made for the F-150 i have the measurements just wondering how it would look
  3. I appreciate your opinion and dually noted! No for MOFSTEEL
  4. To all Edge Forum members I have a question or request. Has anybody thought of putting a hood scoop on the edge. I've been thinking about it and though like an F-150 style scoop or something along those lines would look nice. Can anyone phototshop-up some pics with different styles and see what it would look like? Matt Rochette
  5. perfect now I know for myself show me some pics of you Install when your done and don't forget to check out my edge and my topics matt Rochette
  6. i can't remember which thread I was reading the audio forum but I remember someone saying the passed it threw a grommet on the passenger side and they said that if you were using 4 gauge its a piece of cake. sorry i cant help you out any more Matt Rochette
  7. the plastic wont melt as you are using the oven a low temp only the glue will melt as the plastic has a higher melting point here"s the link to the person that took apart the headlights on a ford edge http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?/topic/3691-my-audi-style-led-lights/ and here's a link in general for taking apart headlight or tailights http://www.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e219/surfcityxb/taillights4.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.clubxb.com/forums/f59/diy-clearing-taillights-31392.html&usg=__s4soK19b2ihS7Or9eKn72cDzDNg=&h=336&w=448&sz=126&hl=en&start=2&um=1&itbs=1&tbnid=2HpDYvJTERd5XM:&tbnh=95&tbnw=127&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dhow%2Bto%2Bunglue%2Btail%2Blights%2Bin%2Bthe%2Boven%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DX%26tbs%3Disch:1 hope this helps Matt Rochette
  8. you can do what some of us do to modify the headlights we bake the head lights in the oven repeatedly at 200 degrees and use cedar shims to lightly pry the glue apart and use a utility knike to cut it free. once the two part are separated you can re seal them using a 2 part epoxy that will guaranty a water proof seal. If you want you could stop their or you can take it once step further while you have them open you can modify your tail lights to make them look like the ford edge sport tail lights by painting the chrome and giving them that black out effect If you decide to go this route and paint them please take LOTS of pictures as their are plenty of members that would love to see how this turns out hope this helps Matt Rochette
  9. I'm in Canada and already have DRL installed but you should be able to to install a unit like this and you'd have DRL http://www.automotiveelectronicaccessories.com/aeapn480hd.htm Hope this helps Matt Rochette
