Question for you re extended warranty conditions for our 2008 Edge...we've had some front end and rear damage during the course of our lease and we're planning on returning the vehicle shortly. Damage is a crease in the rear section right at the gas tank tank cap and front end where a truck backed into it and slightly threw things out of line. Damage to front at a body shop was estimated at $1600 and rear hasn't been checked for cost.
My question is can repairs be done by us prior to return or do repairs need to be done by the Ford dealer? Again, we have the extended warranty. If we did repairs it would be done at a reputable facility. I would hate to either have the work done to find that Ford won't recognize the repair or that it was covered by the warranty.
