We had a 2003 Liberty with 110,000 mi that developed a coolant leak into the cylinders. So, as most of you probably are aware, it's either the head gasket, warped or cracked heads, or a cracked engine block. I really wresled with the repair option, but ultimately my wife liked the '08 Edge at the local Ford lot, the trade was reasonable, so we bit.
It's an SEL, orange (aka Blazing Copper), with 35,000. So far, we're both really pleased. I occassionally pull a light utility trailer, so the hitch will be installed when it comes in. I think the only thing we will really miss is the integrated garage door openers. Now we'll just have to go the old-fashioned route and stick the openers back on the visor. We were also hoping for memory programmable seats and an environmental dual zone climate control in our next vehicle as well. For the money, that wasn't in the cards this time.
