I read on the forum that someone has a similar issue and was resolved when the dealer lubricated the moving parts. I'd hope the dealer would've checked the lube before suggesting to take it apart. Good Luck

congrats and welcome. i'm actually posting from the Ford dealership. I took my 03 LS V8 for an oil change. And their having a bbq today, but its 8:44am, so i dunno if I'm in the weiner mode this early. I collect 1:8 diecast motorcycles. Pretty cool. you can simply fold down the back seats as i do in my 2007 edge. you don't have to take out the headrests to fold them down.

2007 Ford Edge SEL AWD roofied up with vista- Creamy colored -100% stock -the 18" chrome wheels started to flake and had them replaced by teh dealer under warranty, adn noticed today that it is happening again...oh well, at least their round -i worked at the Talbotville plant a while back, as did pops and brother. my uncle has retired from the oakville plant. -the only imports i've owned are motorcycles future mods: -all weather cargo matt -suspension-springs, strut, sway -and after dynoing the vehicle, adding the intake, filters exterior mods-dunno yet. havent seen anything that makes it look considerably 'better' without putting a body kit on it.

i just answered my question. the gallery on their site shows an edge with sport springs. wheel well doesn't look to be compromised. being a newb i'm guessing 1.5-2" lowering won't hurt any aspect of rideability in any weather, or am i wrong?

awesome. i love driving to ski hills in the winter, so i didnt want to sacrifice any ride height b/c of the canadian winter storms that can dump. Are they the H&R OE Sport Springs(Lowers .25 - .75 inches on average) or H&R Sport Springs(Lowers 1.5 - 2.0 inches on average) sabtaj, do you have a part number? Thanks

07 edge how low can i go? i drive 95% on the road. i want to increase handling, but not functionality of having suv ride height, or is the factory springs and height best for the car cuz it was engineered specifically. So far HR is the spring company that keeps being mentioned on the forums, are they best product for value? thanks

It would look different with a lincoln symbol on the steering wheel but I'm not too concerned about that. Basically what i'm trying to acheieve is a woodgrain steering wheel with cruise control/volume controls in my 07 edge. It's a camel leather, but it has a black steering wheel. if possible i could see the steering wheel from a black interior mkx in it rather that a steering wheel from a tan interior mkx. Is it possible to put a mkx steering wheel into my 07 edge?
