I always run it on outside air?!?! Is there a way to see if mildew is actually the culprit?

Wow so this is a common issue?? I have never had a car a/c to smell from mildew. I never knew that was a cabin air filter. Are they on all cars?? I feel silly even asking that question! Thanks guys for the answers, i will try them ALL, cuase this air STINKS!

I bought a brand new Edge Limited 08, about 9 months ago. Well when i turn on the a/c it smells as if someone has urinated in the a/c. The smell will not go away. I live in Florida so the a/c is a must to have on. Has anyone out there had this problem?? The truck is garage kept and extremely well maintained, so i know it is not something i did to make it smell this way. Please help.
