Strongbad

My Sync nav system has quit working correctly. It boots fine, but when I press the screen for the first time, it freezes for a minute or two. When it unfreezes, the screen is no longer responsive to the touch. I suspect it needs a reset but the only way I know to do it requires using the touch screen. I have tried pulling the batter but with no luck. Any other ideas? Thanks in advance.
