SSM 54264   2024-2025 Nautilus - Front Brake Noise
Some 2024-2025 Nautilus vehicles may exhibit a grunt-type noise from the front brakes during initial brake applications that goes away after the brakes warm-up. A video demonstrating this condition is available on PTS for 2024-2025 Nautilus under the Service Tips Tab > Reference Guides > Front Brake Grunt Video. For vehicles that exhibit a noise comparable to the video only, refer to the following direction depending on vehicle build date.

* Vehicles built on or before 13-Jun-2024, that have previously had front disc brake rotors replaced with part number PZ1Z-1125-B: Engineering is investigating further brake noise improvements with a solution targeted for late Q4 2025. This condition does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service should be expected to impact this condition at this time.

* Vehicles built on or before 13-Jun-2024, that have not had front brake service: replace both front brake disc rotors with part number PZ1Z-1125-B. Refer to the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 206-03 Front Disc Brake > Removal and Installation. For claiming, use causal part 1125 and labor operations 2001BFA and 2001B5FT. If the condition occurs after disc brake rotor replacement, be aware that engineering is investigating further brake noise improvements with a solution targeted for late Q4 2025. This condition does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service should be expected to impact this condition at this time.

* Vehicles built on or after 14-Jun-2024: Engineering is investigating further brake noise improvements with a solution targeted for late Q4 2025. This condition does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service should be expected to impact this condition at this time.

For brake noise concerns that are not comparable to the video, follow normal diagnostics in WSM, Section 206-00.
