Recieved the upgrade package in the mail yesterday. It took about an hour to install. System seems much better, but its only been one day. Most screens look much better with less clutter. Phone connects more quickly. One thing I noticed on the map, its that the colored lines for traffic are thinner than before which makes it harder to read. I also wish they would make the temp and clock on right instrument cluster screen easier to read. The font is small and the grey color doesn't have enough contrast. Clock on the center screen is much easier to read.

I did the same thing. I took the cover out and left it in my garage. I now carry a black blanket in the back to cover anything back there.

My upgrade to 2.11 also took about 40 minutes. It's been a couple of weeks now since the upgrade. MFT is much more stable, no crashes or lock ups so for. Phone pairing is quicker and more reliable than it was before. I have yet to experience pairing issues with 2.11. With 2.4, I had pairing issues regularly that could only be solved by a master reset.

I heard part of a news story on TV last night that said Ford was recalling 2011 Edge's. Anyone know any details?

I took delivery of my 2011 Edge yesterday, 9/22. I placed the order back on 7/20, so about 8 weeks, just as the dealer promised. Bourdeax Red, Limited, AWD, Sienna leather interior - I really like this color combination. Its no sports car, but it does drive very well for a vehicle of this size. I have a lot to learn on the NAV, Synch, and myFordTouch. So far, I really like the vehicle.

My dealer in Walnut Creek, CA called today to let me know my order is now scheduled for the week of Aug. 30. I placed the order back on July 20. He didn't give me a delivery date yet. About how long does it take to build and ship a vehicle to the west coast? A month?

The Ford dealer in Walnut Creek, CA told me they expect to get a Sport in first week of August.

I ordered a 2011 Edge Limited on 7/20 and the dealer quoted an 8 week lead time which would put delivery in late September. The dealer also expects to receive their first 2011 in the first week of August (Sport model).
