  1. Dealer confirmed it's the torque converter I'm hearing.
  2. Driven many manual transmission vehicle and haven't noticed anything similar. The service manager thinks it may be the torque converter that I'm feeling, he's going to hook up the computer to it and take it for a spin and see what is engaging/disengaging a couple seconds after letting off the accelerator.
  3. I wondered about the engine shutting down when there is no accelerator input and if that may be the cause. This should be happening throughout the whole platform if that is the case, hopefully others will chime in. The thing that concerns me more is the vehicle determining the amount of braking I need. I'm OK with it when adaptive cruise is on but not OK with it when I'm supposed to be in control.
  4. I have a 2011 MKX with adaptive cruise control, not sure if my issues are related to this option or not but they happen with adaptive cruise off. Just wondering if anyone else feels their vehicle slow down ever so slightly by itself after releasing their foot off the gas? It is really noticeable going 80 to 100 km/h when you take your foot off the gas it feels like it should when you're coasting for about 2 seconds and then you can feel the vehicle ever so slightly slow down. It is almost as if the vehicle shifts down from say 6th to 5th, but It happens when I have the transmission in manual mode as well so I know that is not the case. I've also had the brakes apply more when I've kept a constant pressure on the pedal, for example I have the brakes applied at 30% or so and then feel them apply to 60% or so without varying the pressure on the pedal. This has only happened once to me but another person who took the car for a ride commented on how it seemed the car applied some braking for them as well. Anyone else having the same "issues". I keep thinking to myself maybe I'm losing it and I'm pretty sure when I take it in to the dealer and mention it they'll think I have!
  5. I've had issues with mine on my MKX as well.
  6. Yes you can buy the ESP from the US.
  7. FYI my MKX sat for a month with no update.
  8. Can anyone confirm the 2011 hub size. The 2007 to 2010 had 70.5mm hubs but the 2011 is smaller. I found out when I went to mount aftermarket wheels with the 73 to 70.5mm hubcentric ring. Best I can measure is 63.5 mm but I want to confirm if someone has the definitive answer. Thanks!
  9. Did you happen to need hubcentric rings? I have my aftermarket wheels and I had a 73 by 70.5 ring (70.5mm hubs were used to 2010 model). They changed the hub size to 63.5mm best I can measure but want to make sure before I order new rings. Can you confirm the size of rings your tire shop gave you? Thanks
  10. Got my MKX today. Only took 20 weeks to the day. From what I've experienced in the short time I was in it tonight, the wait was worth it.
  11. FYI my MKX I picked up today came with the all weather mats as well. FWIW I was told all MKX's come with them but the Edge's don't. Hold off and see if they come with.
  12. Just programmed my 2011 MKX sensors using the following instructions I found. Bought the cheap $30 learning tool and worked like a charm. Hope this helps. TPMS re-learn procedure 2007-2011 edge and MKX
  13. Why don't you chill out for a bit? Maybe take a vacation, get away from it all? It'd be a win win situation. We wouldn't have to read your new chicken little posts every hour, and you'd be relaxing somewhere nice while Ford was working on an update to make MyTouch function better. Possibly by the time you got back it would be available. Think about it. It would add years to your life!
  14. Not sure if directed at me or OP. I think I ended up ordering an Ingot Silver, can't fully remember as it has been quite some time.
  15. I'm going on week 17 now for my MKX to British Columbia. Quit complaining! Seriously, this will be the last time I'll do a factory order. The thing has been built for 2 months already, it sat with no updates for over a month after it was produced. I should get it this week (knocks on wood). Needless to say I'm a little concerned about the Ford experience, there is no excuse for this time frame (2 months late from the eta I was originally given). Dealership experience has not been pleasant either. Was a huge fan of the new Ford products and is why I ordered. Bitterness has set in though, hopefully the wait is worth it.
