Congradulations, and the best with " Black Beauty ". What options did you choose?, and if you want to let us know what you paid, vs sticker, it can help others on purchases. I would suggest putting on a coat of wax asap, I use Maguires Gold.

Heck, I would get it back to the dealer immediately, totally unaccceptable situation.
-
All I could suggest is to try and contact Ford of Europe, maybe your dealer could help you out.
Have a great time in Poland, beautiful countrysides, and fun times when in Zakopane !

Richy,
The best with you new beauty, sure looks sweet ! I see that you're as bad as me, get a new car, bring it right home, and get a good coat of wax on it. I've been using Maguires Gold Class, have been very happy with the results and durability.
Happy Motoring :hyper:

Got my nephew Husky mats for his car, he likes them a lot. Got them from AUTOANYTHING.COM.
They have weathertech too.

How many of you remember party lines with telephones? You would pickup the phone to make a call, and a neighbor mightbe on the line talking tom someone, and you would have to hang up and try later,
when she was finished talking. How about TV show's like Sky King, Roy Rogers, Sugarfoot, Leave it to Beaver,The life of Riley, The Donna Reed Show, and so many more. Heck, back in the 50's and 60's, we actually played outside with our friends, no such thing as staying inside to play. Bring back the good old things ! .............................and by the way, I am over 50.

Me thinks that the one on the left is a Ford Kuga, already in Europe.

My wife has this feature in her MKS, and loves it, saved her a number of times from being stuck in traffic, due to some sort of congestion or accident. It warns her with a "honk" like a car horn. The first time this happened, she thought that someone was honking their horn at her.

I wouldn't recommend running the tank down that low. As time goes on, you can pull up crap from the bottom of the tank, and screw your injectors, and more. I try and refill our cars when I'm down to 1/3 tank, unless on a trip.

Best wishes, John, with your new Edge, and VERY happy to hear that everything works.
I've been dealing with Maplecrest FLM in Union, a well run place. Did you get yours up by you?
Joe
P.S. Thomas Lincoln/Mercury down here in Westfield, closed up the other week.

Welcome aboard, a great site, hope you find it helpful.

Good question, I would hope that it would include Canadian vehicles, too.

Problems like this are what is keeping me from going for a new MKX. My '06 Explorer Limited runs GREAT, only 48K, might keep in through the winter, and hopefully, problems will be ironed out by then.
True, only a small number in this forum are reporting problems, but how many buyers of '11 Edge's and
MKX's are on this forum? Am going to a '11 Explorer preview next week at Maplecrest FLM, will ask the rep if a fix is near for these problems.

Personally, I would look into the clear film vs a bra. Had one years ago, on my '93 SHO (black), and wind buffeting created marks in the paint, had it on real tight, but they do loosen up. I've seen cars with the film on them, and you can see a slight change where the film ends
on the paint, but in my opinion, rather see that then what the bra can do to the paint.
The best on your decision.

This is EXACTLY what's holding me back from ordering a new MKX. My '06 Explorer Limited runs great, no problems at all, just tired of it,
want a new toy. What I don't want is a new toy with headaches
-
:happy feet:
Glad to hear the dealer repladed them for you. Heck, it's still a new car, should be covered under the corrosion warranty.
-
Makes me think I should hold off a bit before ordering the MKX. My wife's '09 MKS has been great since day 1. One thing I will miss, is not having the built ninn hard drive to "load down" CD's. Some of the CD's did not have gracenotes, am able to manually add album titles/songs/artisits with the MKS.
Oh well, modern technology can bite us in the ass!

Hey Count,
Get the hell out of the Warranty Solutions, and get into a Ford Certified program. Took the Ford / Lincoln Premium Care on my wife's MKS when we got it, for a total of 7 years/ 100,000 miles. If I remember correctly, I think it ran close to $2,000. It is bumper to bumper, with $100 deducable, well worth it, as I have used it on my 06 Explorer, was a smart choice with that car too.
Heck, all the electronics on cars today can get VERY expensive in repairs. We took the tire and rim package too. When presented to us, it was quoted as $750. I said no thanks, and next thing I knew, he brought the price down to $500, so I took it, figured 1 blown rim might run that much.

My name is Marcello Onofrio, currently an employee of Stevens Auto Group a retaliler of new Ford and Lincoln products. I am a master certified sales consultant and if any of you have questions about the vehicle or would like to test drive one let me know we have plenty in stock.
Thanks for allowing me to join your site..
:hyper: Welcome aboard, I'm sure you can help many with questions. One in particular for me - can you download cd's to a jukebox, as in the MKS? I'm not big into memory sticks. Have tons of Polka cd's loaded into the MKS, can plkay whatever I
want to.
Thx

When we got my wife's '09 MKS, oil changes were every 7,500 miles, and the 1st 2 were free. The dealership had me bring it in at 2,000 miles for a oil change, to get out all "loose particles" from the new engine, which they did at no charge also. Heck, I remember years ago, it was normal practice to do the1st oil change at 1,000 miles. Even with the MKS, I'm having the oil changed every 5,000 miles vs 7,500. The service tech said that this is a smart decision. Remember, a clean engine is a happt engine ! :yup:
