Just purchased my 2008 Ford Edge. Was absolutely thrilled with it until it went into the shop for an oil leak that has turned into having the PTU replaced. Obviously, looking at the power train posts this is a major issues, especially since this replacement is a commom problem and my dealer doesn't have one. I am very disappointed, now I'm STUCK driving a Ford Focus - talk about several steps down - until they can get the part. And from the posts, it won't be the first/last time this will have to be replaced.
