As June 19,2008 Ford engineering issued a Service Bulletin with a new procedure , New Seal and some new tools. This is what they told me ;-) Let see if this will fix this problem. They already replace 4 PTUs / Seal... I lost my Edge about 2 months during last year for servicing this PTU/Seal Leak. If this is not the ultimate solution, i will turn back to the arbitration process "http://camvap.ca/eng/consumers_guide.htm" Enough is Enough I will be back with the results... Keep us updated.

Here is some news about this problem. Now my Edge is 1 year old. 20 000 KM. They have replace: 5000 KM 1x PTU Gasket kit 5200 KM 1x Complete PTU 15000 KM 1x Passager PTU Seal 17000 KM 1x Passager PTU Seal 18000 KM 1x Passager PTU Seal 20000 KM 1x Another Complete PTU Let see how long it will be OK. Do not hesitate to complain to Ford Customer Service. I'm very happy, this is only a 3 years lease. Good luck guys.

Everything was OK for the last 5 month. No signal drop except under bridge or sky obstacle. Now, i got drop few time per song. It become difficult or impossible to listen to a entire song with drop.

After 5 month, this is the second time my dealer have to do work on the PTU At the beginning we found oil drip. Dealer change PTU gasket (Transfer Case) Few week after, same oil drip. Dealer change the Entire PTU Unit. I do have the towing package on this vehicule. I'm pulling a boat of about 3100 lbs Should we think about a stress due to the boat ?

Hello All, I got my Edge about 5 month ago (SEL) Sirius work great. Yesterday, i have very offen signal drop. Sirius do not have any information about poor signal quality or testing in process. Should we think about a defective Head Unit ? Bad wire ? Anyone experiment this issue ????

I'm living in Quebec, Canada and here tint windows are illegal... On my edge, i ask my dealer to tint the front same as the back. Get cut by the police yesterday and i have to take out the front tint. Here the Max light passing throw the front windows should be more then 70 % Back can be paint, no rules. Original windows without film have a 76% Too bad, it was looking good...

I'm offering Edge / MKX cleaning services. Only the three first feets warranty to be clean. I like my new Edge ;-)

Hello Guys... I'm new here in your forum. Have order a Edge SEL with Vista and Towing few week ago. I think i will be lucky. I went to my dealer last friday and find out he have the same as order and the original customer cancel his order. Maybe i will be able to grab this one.... I will let you know...
