  1. I was mounting my Sirius unit in the car today and noticed a small rectangle cap about a little over an inch long near the windshield in the center in the dash. I popped it out thinking it was just a cap for some accessory not on my model (2009 SE). However when I popped it off it had a wire and harness attached to it. Can anyone tell me what this is for ? Right now I have my Sirius Antenna mounted on top of it.
  2. Excellent. Thanks for the quick reply GrantA I plan on putting my Sirius receiver on top of the dash in the center tray. Any recommendations on the best way to run a 3.5mm cable from that receiver to the input in the console between the seats. Would like to hide as much of the cable as possible.
  3. 3 questions: 1) The large bezel you mention....I assume this is the panel we are talking about (see attached) ? 2) Do you have to remove any other panels first before this panel comes off ? I had all Honda's before my Edge and in order to get to the radio it always required removing nearly half the dash to get the radio panel off. What a pain they were to work on. I just need to hide to some wires behind the radio panel and was hoping this was the only thing that needed to be removed. 3) Any tips on removing this panel (i.e. where to grab it from...or should I use a trim removal tool and where to stick it first) ?
  4. are you sure there is a scan button ? Reason I ask is I have had several Sirius receivers (external, not built into the dash) that do not scan channels. They normally have station presets that you can set to you liking and a jump button (goes to your favorite) channel. But I've never seen a scan function. Normally you have to manually turn the knob or button on the unit itself to scroll through channels then you select the one you want.
  5. I have a Sirius Starmate and was looking for a good place to mount the unit in my 2009 Edge. I always like to hide as much as the wiring as possible. Was very bummed that the Auxillary plug was in the center console. Would have much preferred it to be on the dash like in most cars. Anyways I was thinking putting the Starmate in the tray in front of the cup holders, routing the antenna to the dash and running the aux line and power to the center console. I just wonder how tough its going to be to run the antenna up to where the dash and winshield meet. If anybody has installed an aftermarket Sirius unit I would like to see some pics. I googled Sirius/Edge installs but got nothing. Thanks in advance.
  6. Anyone know if these removal documents apply to 2009 Edge SE's ?
