They're virtually invisible -- improved aesthetics Computer-cut, all-steel components for exceptional strength Easy to install -- ROADMASTER brackets use existing attachment points on the vehicle's undercarriage -- no welding! Most install through the grille -- no scraping brackets in dips or against curbs. The bracket will fit 2007 - 2015 Ford Edge without Adaptive Cruise Control It was installed for 2 years and is in very good condition. All installation hardware included. 3. For some reason the rears wear faster than the front on these cars. Rear was relaced at 70K on mine and front at 90K. Don't know what the pad thickness was at replacement, but they were checked every 5K miles, so I would expect that the wear was pretty even. I don't have the car anymore or I could have checked the paperwork.
  4. Thanks Todd. I'll post if it happens again.
  5. The key is "after ignition off". Once the engine is off, I don't see how the light sensor input would be considered. Headlamp switch maybe. Turning the switch to off will kill the lights and will remain off even after turning back to auto (keeping ignition off). I don't know if the lights ever did not turn off due to ambien light increase (since there is no indication of headlight status in the IP).
  6. 2011 Limited AWD with 90K miles. I disconnected the battery for 30 min. So far, no re-occurance.
  7. Hmmm. Not sure why either of those would impact the headlights turning off after the vehicle is shut down.
  8. My headlights are set to "Auto". A couple of times now they would not turn off after the car was turned off (and beyond the set delay). Had to manually turn the dash switch to "off". Anyone else have this issue?
  9. Sorry, don't agree at all. Sounds more like an issue with the AWD putting the vehicle in a "limp-home" mode to avoid damage. The AWD is not designed to be engaged continually and can overheat if driven in this mode (i.e. up a snow covered hill for a few miles). The AWD might not be actually overheating, but the temp sensors or some other component might be failing or something in the traction/stability control might be commanding the AWD to be engaged for extended periods of time when it should not be. It would be interesting to know what the conditionas are when this happens. You could monitor the left screen that shows the AWD function. 90% of the time you should only see the front wheels getting power. Find yourself a dealer that takes you seriously and is willing to keep the car for a while.
  10. 2011 AWD with 50K miles: Summer mixed driving - 21MPG Winter mixed driving - 19MPG Pure highway cruise @ 74mph - 24MPG Thule rack with roof box cost about 2-3 MPG This is very similar to my 2007 Mazda CX-9 that I had previously.
  11. I got my 2011 Limited AWD in October of 2010. To date I have almost 50K miles on it. I average around 20MPG (mixed City/Highway) which I find comparable to all other similarly sized crossovers with a V6. Overall I am not happy with this vehicle. Too many problems (many intermittent). Problems: 1.- MFT- latest release is better but still quite a few bugs. 2.- Mic for Blue tooth phone - Audio quality on receiving end is terrible. So bad, it can't be used to talk to someone that is on hands-free on the other end. 3.- HVAC calibration - see my other post. 4.- Idler pulley stuck on day 4 5.- Trans oil leak within 1st month 6.- Rattle in rear of vehicle (intermittent). Took 1 year and many dealer visits for a subwoofer replacement that fixed the issue. 7.- Suspension squeak in rear of vehicle (intermittent). Still not found after many dealer visits 8.- Memory seat module failure. Seat would move to my wife's seat position when she got in the car on the passenger side while the car was running and I was in the driver seat. She is 1ft+ shorter than me. 9.- Battery was dead within 1 year. 10.- Strange wind noise on passenger side. Dealer says its normal. 11.- No indication of headlight on/off status. I find "Auto" turning the lights on later than I would like. 12 - Road and wind noise seem loud compared to other similar vehicles 13.- Rain sensing wipers come on without rain (every now and then) Likes: 1.- Engine performance and driveability 2.- Seats are comfortable 3.- Keyless entry and start system works well 4.- Overall size of vehicle fits my needs 5.- If it had no bugs, then MFT would be a positive. 6.- BAMR 7.- Tires still have plenty of tread and worke well in all types of conditions 8.- Resolution and color of 8" screen is very good 9.- Dash with large center speedo and programmable screens. Overall, I would not buy this vehicle again. Probably doesn't help that my previous vehicle went 90K miles without any issues (not even any squeaks or rattles). The local Ford dealer is also incapable of understanding that an intermittent issue might need a bit more investigation before calling it "no trouble found".
  12. akirby - you have an answer for everything. Too bad I did not think of that.
  13. I have no issues streaming from Pandora or Tuned-in through the USB cable (stock apple cable). I can't get BT audio to work since the last update. Also, when connecting the iPhone through the USB, 50% of the time I will hear no sound even though the screen shows the song and the time counting up. Unplug and re-plug and then it works fine every time. Go figure...
  14. Since its all software, we need another setting option. Rapid cool down or reduced fan noise.
  15. What was your outside temp? Does our recirc light turn on when in Auto Mode (I don't think mine has ever done that). I've already complained about this to my dealer various times. They agreed that it was strange, but could find nothing wrong. Story of my life with this car.
