I did get the message saying no key detected but when she got back in we both just assumed she had it on her, otherwise, why else would we be able to drive away without any keys? And it's not like we drove around the block, we drove from one end of the city to the other.

So yesterday, me and the family were out driving around (2011 Edge), we stopped at home quickly just to grab something, my wife hopped out and went into the house with the keys in her pocket and I stayed in the Edge with the baby while the car was still running. As the wife was in the house I seen the error message pop up saying no keys detected. She came back unknowingly leaving the keys in the house and we drove away. We must have drove for about 40 minutes and roughly 30km. When we stopped I turned the car off and when we went to lock the door with the FOB - no FOB! We have done this once before where the wife droppd me off and I still had the keys in my pocket and the error message popped up telling us no key detected and the engine would shut off. Anyone else had this problem? This has to be a huge safety risk. Luckily we stopped at a mall and had family that was close by that could pick up our keys and come get them to us. I can only imagine if we were to drive any further!

Just washed my Edge for the first time yesterday, took the afternoon off specifically for this joyous occasion, I ordered the Optimum No Rinse off of eShine. Wow what a good product that is! Took the advice from the forum and also picked up some MF towels. What a difference that makes! My lesson learned was to start on the roof first! I've never really paid attention to the roof on any of my vehicles, but on the Edge boy do you notice when the roof doesn't shine as much as the body does. And good lord you almost need a ladder and a harness to try and wipe the whole thing! I also made the mistake of not ordering the proper drying towels off of eShine. I picked up the Simonize drying towels from Canadian Tire, those were dissapointing, I wasn't even done half the car and the towel was damp and leaving streaks already. Do the other drying towels do this as well? I only bought one, is the secret to have a few on hand? I've always had my OCD on having a clean car but I think the Edge is going to take me to a whole new level! May have to buy the wife those diamonds she's been bugging me about alot sooner than I thought!

Good question, I know the range on mine isn't very good, every time I use it, it's fingers crossed that it actually works.

I agree - The silver that matches the trim would look waayyyy better! Would also be interested to know if there's anything out there to cover that up! They also had to throw that ugly "wood" paneling around the dash too - whatta shame!

First off, love my new Edge! A few things I've noticed with mine, when listening to my USB and using the voice command "play folder ....." seems to freeze up and nothing really happens. Have to browse through the device and manually select my desired music folder. Also, is there a way to always have my preferred home screen come up? I like having my background image always up, and when it starts up it defaults back to the quadrants. Not a big deal just wondering if there's a way around that. The SYNC has been out for a few years now, you'd think you'd be able to change that voice by now! How cool would it be to have Mr. T pop up - whatchu want fool??
