  1. had the prozen intake in my edge sport for about a week and ripped it out.... i have one for sale if anyone is interested.....way too loud for me and the way it mounts to the car on the cheap hook they sell you its only a matter of time before the high revving motor snaps it off......magnaflow has an exhaust kit in the works so im waiting for that and to satisfy my intake needs i got a nice K&N drop in filter....engine sounds better without the prozen in my opinion....and i also has oil in the intake as well...but the factory intake had oil in it when i removed it in the first place so i dunno bout that
  2. I heard that when you use 9006 bulbs in place of a 9012 bulb that it requires trimming of the plastic on the bulb...not sure if its using a 9006 in a 9012 housing or vice versa....however...why use a 9006 kit when Retro-Solutions has 9012 kits that come with a "2011 Ford Edge harness"....Im ordering from them tomorrow cause the factory bulbs SUCK!!....they give us nice LED strips and projectors but they take away the HID option for Sport models...i don't get it but whatever....go with what you know will fit before you end up going through a process of ordering and returning simply because some "says" it will fit...
  3. I currently own a 2011 Ford Edge Sport...the HIR2 bulbs can be replaced with a 9012 bulb..HOWEVER..the way the high beams work in these cars i'm not sure what the clearance inside the projector housing is...but if your looking for a decent kit for a great price check out www.HIDGEEKS.com...I'll be placing my order very soon for a 55w 6000k 9012 kit with the relay harness and 5 year warranty for around 55 bucks....
  4. you definitely need an HID relay harness...first off when the HID kit draws directly from the battery they function way better regardless of what companies may tell you...I bought $300 high end HID's for my 2007 Edge and without the relay they would just flicker on and off whenever there might've been a surge in the electric....Go for the $20 and save yourself a huge headache
  5. www.car-stuff.com i ordered mine from them and they had it here in 4 days... however....the gibson exhaust is not a simple bolt on for the AWD one of the pipes hits the rear sway bar and needs to be cut back to fit also making it nearly impossible to get one of the hangers fastened..the reason for this is because the kit is made for FWD and AWD so it has to be played with and the configuration has to be re-arranged....unless you have a lift....good luck not going crazy.......other than that it sounds completely different than any of the 1000000 other edges i see and if you want to compare it to anything....sounds like a mix between an infiniti FX 35 and and aftermarket exhaust on a german car....not too loud but very noticable...my buddy has a worked VW R32 and said it sounds just like his car on open throttle.....i also have a weapon R intake in the engine bay to add to the sound effect..... anyone that purchases this exhaust and has any questions for me feel free to send them. ENJOY will have pics up soon!!!
  6. i was told by the people at www.autoanything.com that the gibson exhaust setup will bolt onto an AWD EDGE with no modification...this was also confirmed by the salespeople at Gibson Exhaust go for it
  7. grab handles could only be installed where there is a welded support to screw bolts into otherwise it would rip right off im sure ford thought about it
  8. heyy thats my car in that pic hahah.....the intake makes the car sound like a G35 and not only in my opinion i have had plenty of kids tell me the same thing....its fun to get on it sometimes and have people turn lookin for some sport compact whipping around but nope its just the EDGE GET ONE!! P.S. the kit also comes with a ram air attachment which if you get creative you could actually lead the tubing to where the factory opening is and its good to go also invest in the screw clamps and be extremely carful screwing the MASS AIR METER into the new intake because it is aluminum and once stripped would need re-tapping and thats a whole new ball game because they are welded-in bolts have fun
  9. yeah it should be fine i used to have a Volant on my Explorer Sport 4.0l its a real nice setup which if what you should get for the money Volant charges for a kit and they are really good at keeping heat out....if they made one for the edge i would have gotten that ...water splatter isnt an issue with air intakes its people with cold ait intake that sit really low almost exposed can hit puddle or drive through deep enough water to actually suck it into the engine or at least stop air from entering and stalling the motor.....
  10. First off if your worried about warm air from the engine look to the right side of your factory intake box you will see an opening thats sucks in the same air my new intake does as for the factory ram air attachment that is simply to save you gas on highway so the motor doesnt have to search for air at the constant speed......what my new intake does is allow the air to travel more freely and it creates a smooter path for the air and like i said the kit comes with almost 12' or 3" ducting and all the attachments to add your own RAM AIR EFFECT...and trust me ive been driving around with this intake the past few hours and the car just sounds way more aggressive and when i have a 5.0 mustang as my weekend car the new sounding 3.5L now satifies my ears for during the week EXHAUST COMING SOON...
  11. CHECK IT OUT!.....ON ACCELERATION I MUST ADMIT IT SOUNDS REALLY GOOD DEFINITLY DOES NOT SOUND LIEK A FACTORY EDGE GET ONE!! IT WAS REAL EASY TO INSTALL AND IT COMES WITH A SPECIAL RAM AIR ATTACHMENT THAT YOU CAN STRETCH OUT TO ANY OPEN SPACE OF THE FRONT END SO FOR THOSE OF YOU LOOKING FOR A COLD AIR SETUP IT WILL WORK THAT WAY ALSO...HAVE FUN!!
  12. im just curious but would you know whether the AWD requires a different setup ..i notice the magnaflow kit has only specified FWD
  13. im just curious but would you know whether the AWD requires a different setup ..i notice the magnaflow kit has only specified FWD
  14. first off ...no need for any lights in the daytime thats why the sensor is shutting them off....the relay kits are only necessary when the car is ready to turn them on ...also the sensors are sensitive as are powered relays they are probably interfereing with one another in the daytime because the sensor might pick up some darkness and turn them on ... when you round the corner it may pick up light and turn them off ... i have hids in my edge and trust me its just better to have them turned on manually will save you headaches later on with ballasts and ignitors burning out ...hope this helps
  15. thank you i fixed it... but if you really think about it .. a true cold air intake would place the filter not much lower than where its already going and from the looks of it with no actual skid plate under that motor theres more likely of a chance to kick water into it when it rains a ram air intake is simply a safer aftermarket upgrade for anyone with a lease..... p.s. i already ordered one so ill be sure to post up pics ASAP
