  1. Wow..............thanks............it does look manageable for me to give it a try. Dan mentioned in his driving test that maybe the 35 watt would have been OK............anybody have strong feelings that 35 watts is the best way to go?
  2. Thanks for the pep talk..............I can do it, once I have the right gear................sounds like the best solution might be the TRS morimoto kit and follow 12Edge's instructions. I just tried to find his instructions and can't locate...................can someone give a link so I can print the his instructions off? Dave
  3. Thanks 12Edge.................I'm just not equipped to do this kind of work (no garage..........no real tools.........no competency), so I'm glad I asked the questions........... I may purchase the parts and find a respected electrics shop and pay to have them installed, so just finding the best solution is a step forward for me. Dave
  4. I don't mind just changing bulbs, but if other gear (ballast units?) needs to be added, I'm losing interest.
  5. So I've had my 2013 Edge Sport for a few months now and am disappointed by the seemingly low brightness.................since this thread is pretty old, do you guys still recommend the HID replacement solution?
  6. I'm pretty sure they'll drive it and list the 150 miles as your base line for warranty purposes.....
  7. Sorry, but anybody buying a new car as an "investment" is setting themselves up for disappointment. If you buy a new car, don't even look at the value or think about selling it for 3 or 4 years. Even after 3 or 4 years, your heart will be broken..........
  8. I've been planning to order a loaded Edge Limited and now am starting to think a loaded Mazda CX-7 might be what I should get. The Mazda has a racier look to it.............. I know I'll pay a little more for premium gas, but is that the only drawback? opinions please:
  9. Now that I look at the Seating Flexibility Package, I may want that, so that would push me to the Limited and accepting the Chrome Clad wheels I'm trying to avaoid...... I guess I'm in the same boat you were, Lex.............. Thanks again..... Dave
  10. Thanks for the thoughts so far, everyone. Here are the lists of optional equipment I used for the Limited vs SEL: Limited: 58Q: Navigation, 60E: Interior Appearance 85B Sirius 16W All Weather Mats Edmunds says my buying price would be $31,302 SEL: 58Q Navigation 65L Premium Interior 64P Premium Painted Wheels 66B Sync 916 Audiophile System 85B Sirius 16W All Weather Mats Edmunds says my buying price would be $30,804 Question: Will I be happy with the SEL?
  11. I just used Edmunds.com to price out a loaded Edge Limited as well as an SEL with very similar equipment. The main reason for this is to get an SEL with the Premium Painted Alum wheels rather than the fake "Chrome Clad" wheels on the Limited. The SEL comes in about $500 less than the Limited. If I'm happy with the configuration of the SEL am I forgetting something else that I might regret once I get the SEL?
  12. I too am planning to get a new car and have decided on a 2008 Edge..... I considered the Murano, but decided its technology is already 4-5 years old..........
  13. TL, I've had black leather for the last 10 years...........living in Michigan, I guess there aren't too many days when the seats get too hot...... :yup:
  14. I'm planning to order a loaded Edge in a couple of months for spring delivery....trouble is, I'm thinking Red with black leather with the red inserts.....Do I dare???? Any advice??
  15. I am soory that Ford seems to think grab handles are no longer necessary. Over the past 8 years I have had a Mountaineer and an Escape and love the grab handles............ Are there aftermarket grab handles available?
