  1. My driver side turn signal went out for the second time the other day. (I have replaced the passenger side once already...bought the car in Sep. 2009) Anyways, as you can hopefully see from the pictures, the bulb was completely toasted. The plastic part was also melted. The socket was melted too, but I didn't think to take a picture of it too. I will when the new bulbs come in that I ordered that were recommended in earlier posts. I will be calling Ford this week. I bought new sockets and am ordering both bulbs. I really hope this will fix the problem! I will drive with them for a month after installing and I will recheck them. Then I'll post on here whether they are smoked again or not. Obviously this is a problem and I think Ford should address them! And it seems as though the newer ones still have the problem also as I seen someones post that said he had a 2011 with only around 5500 miles on it. Haven't really had any problems with the car other than a wheel bearing going out, which it seems is normal for these also. Might have another one going out now too.... (sigh) Why can't they make things that last like they used to? lol
  2. I have the SAME problem as you!!! I have called numerous Ford dealers in the area to see if they had a fix and alot of them acted like I was insane! lol I even called some tint places and some idiot told me to tint the entire winshield!! IDIOT! Anyways, I have a 07 Edge with the light sand dash. Which I see someone else said they replaced that color in the 08's. So maybe I should print out this forum and take it to the dealer so they will see that I'm not insane! :-) (BTW I never took it in...I figured why waste my time if they were going to act like I was an idiot on the phone?) But, I wanted to add that I don't think it's as easy as adjusting your seat. And I also don't think that anyone wants to pay over $20k for a car and have to put a dash cover on it! Platinum White had a good, cheap idea...but why should we have to do this? I really like my Edge. It's my daily driver and it's very comfortable. But the next time I buy a car I will definitely pay attention to this problem so I will not have it again. As it does not matter if it's sunny or cloudy. I ALWAYS have a glare!!! And I have even almost hit some of the *lovely* teenagers that walk right out in front of me when dropping my son off at high school as I couldn't see them from the glare!!! Maybe those of us with a problem should call Ford and see if they'd do anything to fix it. I'll have to admit I've been lazy about it so far! Let me know if anyone has any ideas. Although it seems as though the only solution there seems to be is a dash cover!
