  1. As the title says. I replaced both the headlights and fog lights with new Sylvania H11 XTRAVision bulbs a couple months ago and really can't see they both burned out at the same time. I have checked the fuse in the passenger compartment, and they were fine. Also, the fog light indicator light on the dash switch goes off and on when I pull the switch in/out. The indicator light also went out when I pulled the fuse out, so I really do not have a fuse issue. I would assume there is a relay or other fuse further down the line closer to the bulbs them self, but do not see anything about that in the manual. Ideas???

    Does octane matter?

Good to know since I live in Missouri. Thanks for the input.
  3. Bought my '08 Edge about a month ago. I did an experiment in my last car and found that it really didn't pay to burn expensive(higher octane) fuel in my Pontiac Grand Prix GT. I was thinking about doing a similar experiment with my Edge and see if it paid off. Here is what I did in my car. I took one month and burned each of the octanes (87, 89, 91) keeping track of how much I bought and how much more it was than regular 87 octane. Also, I kept track of the miles I drop giving me the MPG average for each as well as how much more I spent on fuel to get the extra MPG(if any). It turned out that if I did get any increase in MPG it was very small and when compared to the extra money I spent to get the higher octane fuel, it was actually costing me more money per mile to drive than if I had used regular 87 octane fuel. Has anyone done anything like this with an Edge?
  4. Wasn't known to me... I have SS lines on my sportbike, but never had them on a car before. I thought they were more to keep the oe lines from getting hot and expanding giving a "spongy" feel. That is good to know, thanks bender!
  5. Found them on amazon.com and both the reviews there said they don't put out any more light than the stock
  6. On my 2008 Edge Limited I am wanting to get brighter bulbs to replace my reverse lights. I have been thinking LED is the route to go, but not sure how that works. If I buy the LED bulb, does it just plug into the same place as the stock bulb or do I need any type of adapter? Also, what are the brightest standard bulbs I can get for my headlights and fog lights? Wanting to upgrade those as well possibly. Not sure I want to go with an HID conversion at this point though.
  7. Your sending me in the right direction!! I have found the the Droid X will do this, but haven't found a fix for my Incredible yet.
  8. Thanks, I "think" it has the latest, but I will jump over to the incredible forum and verify with the experts over there to make sure.
  9. I have an HTC Incredible and it is paired with my Edge. The phone seems to be working great. However, there is an option for texting and message notifications that says it isn't supported. How can I get these to work? I would love to get a tone over the radio to let me know I have a new message or email. BTW, I just got the sync updated today to the v2.1 which is the latest for my 2008 Limited(syncmyride.com is not showing any available updates now)
  10. I get every vehicle I buy tinted to 20% all the way around and the back glass tinted to 5%. The back one more to keep people from being able to walk by and see what I have in the back as well as not being blinded by some stooge with their brights on behind me.
  11. If you upgrade to SS lines, won't that possibly lead to harder braking and in turn warping the rotors quicker??
  12. Is there a way to tell what is in the updates listed on syncmyride.com? Since buying my 2008 Edge Limited, I have been able to update the system to 1.2, but there is a 1.3 available, and a 2.1 that requires a dealer visit. What will the later do? I did not notice any difference when I got the update done from 1.0 to 1.2.
  13. Yep, I had to unhook the battery, couldn't figure out how to get the fuse cover off so I could pull the fuse
  14. So I signed up on syncmyride.com and went through the update process the show. I was trying to update my system from the 1.0 to 1.2 (yes I skipped 1.1, but 1.2 said it included all previous updates). Now the update has completed and my radio is no longer a Sirius radio or has any of the AUX menu available. When I press the AUX button, it comes up with an error and takes me to the am/fm radio. Any ideas??
