The map data base is NOT Navteq (wish it was), it's Telenav. I have an issue where a couple of addresses I went looking for, my home and my daughter's, are not in the Telenav data. In may case the streeet is there just no name for it. Both my '10 Honda and a Garmin unit with '09 maps have the two addresses. I contacted Ford they said report it to Telenav (http://mapinsight.teleatlas.com/mapfeedback/index.php). And, BTW, ther is no current plan to issue an update. As I told them it is a little disappoining to have spend $795 for an out of date mapping data base!!!

Just took delivery of a 2011 LTD w/Navi on 3/14. The map data base is way out of date. Though it show the street that I live on as a road it has no idea what the name of the steet is and therefore can't find the address. The subdivision is over 4 years old and the street was dedicated by the county at that time . The map update that I got for a Garmin in 2009 knew trhe address and so does my 2010 Honda Crosstour. In addition, my daughter's house is about 5 years old and new Edge doesn't know where she lives either, Again, both the Honda and the Garmin have her street / subdivision in thier data base. I know that this is the first release of the SD card based system and I certainly hope there will be an update forth coming. My question is, are the previous generation Navi systems as out of date and how often do they update the data base?? TIA

Hmmmm,, Just picked up my Limited FWD, Red Candy Metalic, Tow Package, Vision Package, Entry Package, and Navigation, Window sticker $38,110. $895 of the difference is the Entry Package which is way kwel and was the only way to get the power liftgate. When I priced it out the difference in equipment between the SEL and Limited more than covered the difference in cost

:hyper: Just picked up our new Edge yesterday. Its a Red Candy Metalic Limited with Navigation, BLIS, Tow Package, and Driver Entry. Less than 5 weeks total time. Ordered 2/9/11, VIN issued 2/22/11, SYNC installed 3/1/11, delivered in Atlanta GA area 3/14/11. So far (only 50 miles) it's great. It's the wife's car and she LOVES it, exactly what she wanted!!
