I just got my 2014 Edge SEL and noticed that they removed the color changing interior lighting from the SEL, which is fine. . . . however right now there is no interior lighting (outside of the dome lamps overhead). I can't find a control to turn on the floor and cup holder interior lighting. When I go to settings, then vehicle, there is no option to turn on the interior/ambient lighting at all. Any ideas?

OK! Well, without proper "training" I went out and pulled 29. It solved the issue. My iPod is detected and plays fine. Weird stuff though. . . .

I know the port isn't dead since it could read a flash drive last night. I'll pull it and see what happens. Do I need to have the ignition on when I do this? off? how long to keep it out?

Is it worth pulling fuse 29? What all will that do?

I just tried my wife's Nano and it won't recognize that either. HELP!?!?!?!

I did reboot the iPod and also swaped out the cable for the one I use with my PC, still nothing. I've also shut off the car and started it too. I was debating on pulling fuse 29.

Hi all. Any idea on why my 5th gen iPod worked since I bought the Edge 3 weeks back and now it doesn't? When I press the USB button, it just displays a message that 'No Device is Detected'. Has anyone had this happen?

I have the Fascinate and I can't get texting to work. Would be nice but from what I understand from other posts, it's about the bluetooth version with your phone. I think I'm saying that correctly. If anyone else has a Fascinate and the texting is working, please post.

I checked my manual and it's much less informative. Looking at my settings on MyTouch, it shows display options (time, date or off), format (12 or 24 hour clock) and an option for daylight savings time. No GPS. Wondering if the GPS function is only part of the nav system, which I do not have. <??> I set mine to use daylight savings time, since it wasn't, and see what that does. It seems to set the calendar automatically and knew it was today's date, it does not however show a year.

I have a daylight savings time option but I don't see a GPS option. My clock is also off sometimes, very odd. My daylight savings time is set to off right now and I noticed the clock was off about 45 min this morning on the way to work. Can someone let me know where the GPS option is located?

Well, after messing with it this morning I found that my 'Privacy Mode' was on when I went into Sync. User error, as I kinda assumed (and hoped). Hopefully this will help others though!

I tried to use the traffic and directions part of Sync today but after it has connected to my phone, nothing seems to happen. My understanding was that I would be able t press the voice button and give it commands. I tried to push the 'press to talk' button on the dash too but nothing. Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks! I was able to figure out how to turn down the voice. . as easy as turning down the volume on the radio! After looking in settings, who would have known it was that easy! Still have the text issue with my phone though but I'm guessing that the Fascinate just isn't supported.

Hey everyone. I just picked up my new 2011 Edge SEL tonight! Very excited! Been playing with the MFT in the garage trying to get the feel for it. Two things I wanted to ask though and was hoping someone could help. One, is there a way to turn down the woman's voice? I went to settings and found a setting where I lower it and she keeps saying softer, softer, softer but then when I click the button on the steering wheel, she's as loud as she ever was. <??> Two, I have a Samsung Fascinate cell phone and was wondering if anyone else has this phone? If so, are you able to get text messaging to work via bluetooth? It says that text messaging is not available with my phone via bluetooth but was hoping that there was a way around that? Both aren't huge deals but I if someone could provide some assistance, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
