Windows Phone 8 is a bad platform for My Ford/Lincoln Touch. Today I was able to sync my phone and even download photos into the phonebook. However, I still cannot make a phone call using the steering wheel control. I am hoping the upcoming Win 8 phone update solves this problem. Overall, I think the update is positive.

Just downloaded and installed. Windows Phone 8 will not even pair. Phone sees sync as a Blackberry but fails to sync.

I have had a 2007, 2009 and 2011 MKX. The rattle in all three was the passanger side seat belt. It retracts too high and rattles. Just a thought.

Update applied in New Jersey. MKX with 2.11 upgraded today in 45 minutes. New Nav card installed as well. One problem I hoped was fixed may be a phone problem. I have a Windows 7.5 phone and I wanted to use addresses in the phonebook as a destination in naviagtion. When I open the phonebook, the address is shown. I hit options, select as destination and I am told it cannot use the address Has anyone had sucess with this feature?.

I purchased a new 2011 MKX in late July. I had 2.11 installed on the vehicle before taking delivery. 2.11 is confirmed on sync my ride. At first, things were mostly good but every day a new little problem developed. Today the car has a black screen and I guess I am calling service. I do not beleive 2.11 is the advance this board is making it out to be. Just another "fix" until the rewrite that I HOPE is coming.
