  1. Hi ishredthecello

When you had your rims refinished - how did they turn out? Did they lacquer the whole wheel, and how did they do with the black inserts - so far I've just had my wheel curb rash buffed out to bare metal, but the patches don't match the rest of the rim.

  2. I messed up one the other day much worse than my other one. So I took it to Wheels America. They said they refinish the entire rim. They said the only thing they are concerned about is the black and how the edges kind of fade into the silver. The guy at the desk said he didn't know how they did that, and weren't sure if they'd be able to duplicate. So kind of concerned, but at least the scratches/gouges should be gone and it's gotta look better with solid lines. Probably won't even notice on the car unless really up close. Also, wondering why they will refinish the whole wheel, I've never dealt with it before, never had a car that i cared about the wheels enough to get it repaired. But took them for the experts in the field that they are and that they'd do their best.
  3. sweet these guys are about 5 miles away from me, perfect. you rock!
  4. mine is probably pretty minor, but looked way worse before using the Ultimate Compound stuff.
  5. got same issue. i picked up some meguiars ultimate compound and used that and it made it better, but still bare metal doesn't match. been looking for some sort of touch up paint that i can use to touch up and smooth out. any ideas, i'm out in philadelphia suburb (south of city)
  6. Can one get the 2011 Edge Limited without the wood trim? I'm talking about the trim that is on the passanger side dash and i guess also the center console?
  7. So i'm looking at purchasing a 2011 Edge. I really like the Sport. However like most, my concern is with the tires. The Limited is okay, but I hate that fake wood look that all of them seem to have. How many miles are the tires good for? I guess in the end looking around people complain about the price, but from what i can tell from looking around 4 new tires are about 200$ more than if you bought 4 18" tires. also, I would probably want to get good snow tires/wheels. there are many topics about this but no one seems to straight up answer. so i'm confused. can someone point to either 17" or 18" package that would work or that you use? getting close to the decision, trading in a 2005 mustang, that I will miss :-(
  8. thanks, if someone thinks different let me know. really liked the 2011 edge when i looked at them. i have an 05 mustang right now, contemplating on what to do with it.
  9. When did 2011 come out? Trying to decide that I have a few months to wait, wondering since that's the case, when would 2012 come out? Which month.
