  1. I also want to praise you on your eloquent prose and use of spacial and contrasting relationships in describing the visual composition the designers created for the front end.

Not too shabby on your wording either ;)

I would've just been like "Whoa nicee..." LOL.

I just painted the Black Sport Grille on mine too because I LOVED the huge contrast between the black and the white. It really sticks out.

  2. Yah definitely go for the in channel ones, I have the stick on ones all because it was in our deal with the dealer.

There has been nothing wrong with it so far except that it looks weird because the car is white and you have random black strips sticking on the outside. I'm pretty sure they're AVS also.

but we have other cars with the stick on and one time one of the visor just flew right off when we were driving :rant2:

I also would recommed the bug deflector on the front. We got it not because we thought it would be useful, just that it would look like we had a "full set" of visors LOL  The deflector is also AVS.

  3. Hi everyone,

Some jerk decided to make a dent on the side of my drivers door.

The actual dent itself is not big, like the size of a dime, but for some reason the surrounding area seems to have caved in a little as well, causing the total dent to be around 2 inches.

What seems weird is that the surrounding area seems to get bigger :S

I know you can drill the dent and fill it up with some sort of material, but to make things easier I was thinking of just getting those body coloured side guards and sticking them over the dent?

I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with covering up dents?

    Thank you in advance!

  4. Hmm, so for the sqeuaky sound, I asked the dealer and its because of the type of metal used for the brakes.

Now I'm not sure if you're talking about this, but I find that everytime I washed my car and it has then parked for the night, the next morning when I try to move it, it has this huge (not sure to describe it) low rumble. Kinda like a...low burp that someone tried to containe? :hysterical:

But yah, hmm I'm guessing this could all be because the brakes?

  5. I don't think you'll have a problem waiting till Spring, but you'll want to get it done sooner than later. Did you look up eshine?

Ok perfect! The garage is occupied and I don't wanna have frost bite trying to get the orange spots off my car ! :hysterical:

And yes I did! This place just made cleaning your car x10000000 times funner (if that's a word). Thanks for the link Richy!

  6. Hi everyone!

I was drying my car yesterday and I noticed that there were these orange spots, that resembled rust. They weren't rust because some spots I could rub off if I scrubed really hard with the towel.

It must've stuck on when I took it into the dealership last week.

Does anyone know if there is an easier way to get this off?

    Thanks in advance!

PS. I know I spelt the title wrong! :banghead:

  7. Update!

This morning I entered my car and the windshield was frozen yet again.

It didn't freeze in the last week because the weather wasn't cold enough. Anyways Im deciding to call the dealer to see if it might be something with the weatherstripping.

    Anyways,

Have a Merry Christmas everyone! I hope Santa treats you all well!

And for those of your in Canada, hope you get to shop till you drop. Don't camp out at best buy too early ;)

  8. I have been looking at a package from Tirerack for 17" 235 65R 17's for the Blizzak and a set of painted silver Sport A7's for less than $1050. Seems fair. Going to 18's and/or chrome really adds up fast.

That sounds like a good price! We paid around 910 just for our tires and to have them installed. If I remember correctly the Blizzaks should have a rebate on them.

We would've of went with 17's for the winter but decided in the summer that it'd be super fun to shop for summer rims so we were stuck with paying extra for the 18's :banghead:

  9. Has anyone tried/heard of Cooper Artic Claw or Cooper WSC. I found the Artic Claw for a low price 172.50$ tax in.

However the guy only has them in 235/65/18.

Is it ok to go narrower

Will it impact the drive in any way?

Lastly, Im not planning on purchasing the tire sensors for the winter steel wheels. Does this impact any of the electronics of the car or will it be fine.

I just got the 235/65/18 Yokohama Geolander, and let me tell you the tires are awesome! I went narrower, so far I have not seen a difference in driving but I actually think they look better narrower.

Anyways as for the sensors, I opted to stick the stock sensors on my winter tires, but have NO sensors on my summer. Theres nothing wrong with that, you just have to deal with pressing the OK button everytime you get into the car cause it will say "Tire Pressure Warning". And you also have to deal with that little light on your dahsboard. Other than that you should be fine.

  10. Hi everyone,

This morning I went into my car to find a sheet of thin ice build up on my windshield (on the inside). I scratched it with my nail and flaky snow came falling off!

There was a rock chip repaired by Speedys so I called them but they said that it has nothoing to do with the chip and that it is rare that it happened.

I'm really worried as the ice was fully covered my whole windshielf except for the chiped area (weird) and we have MFT in the car :(

Does anyone know what this could be?

  11. Well I usually try to just get a GC that I know will cover a few services and let her decide if she wants a day away or a couple outings so she can feel renewed a couple of times. As for the clothes and shoes she usually likes what I pick but womens sizes are stupid. Shoes run pretty much the same but a size 6 in one brand is anothers 8 and anothers 4. Just find it irratating. Oh and also how no matter how many pairs of shoes she may have none ever work with a dress I might get. :banghead:

Big gifts, small gifts, dresses, giftcards .......................Sorry you failed to mention where I could find a husband like you? :worship::hysterical:

  12. Shop is taking her apart and coming up with a quote. The trailing arm is all bent up and I suspect some other pieces because it looks like the opposite side's camber was affected. It was a pretty violent hit since I don't think Audi S4 rims explode that easily.

Probably more than $3100. The whole rear bumper cover is jacked as well. I'm thinking over $7500.

    Wow that sucks,

    Hope everyone is okay!

  13. Nice! Can't wait for the pics!

I'm still procrastinating to the max. We've already gotten a bit of snow and ice annnnnnnnd I'm still in summer mode :finger:

I'm atleast slowly approaching the purchase of winter tires though with the amazing help of the forum people ......... hehe
