  1. Copying this over from the Sync forum: I took my Edge Limited in a few weeks ago to get an update. They also swapped out the APIM. For 2 weeks everything was working beautifully but, as seems to be the norm with this crappy software things started breaking again shortly thereafter. Now the bluetooth audio will not work at all even after deleting and repairing the phone (and forgetting/repairing Sync on the phone). Unacceptable and even more annoying because the loaner MKX they gave me (a 2010 without MFT) worked perfectly. Edit: FYI the update I received was MFT 2.11

  3. Pulled this article from Autoblog. Hopefully now that the Sync/MFT problems are becoming more known to the general populus we might actually start getting some fixes that don't break more than they fix.... http://www.autoblog.com/2011/06/03/mulally-facing-pressure-to-fix-ford-fix-tech-and-quality-glitche/
  4. But then why would it work after resetting MFT via the fuse pull? If it was a problem with the phone's bluetooth profile then I would think the BT audio just wouldn't work no matter what I did (not to mention that the phone portion of the BT is working fine). Ah technology, you are a fickle mistress.
  5. Simple problem solving? Eliminate the variables and it's pretty clear where the problem is coming from. Nothing with the phone has changed since these problems started occurring. I pulled fuse 29 (which rebooted Sync) and voila the problem is gone! I drive somewhere, turn the car off, do my errands, return to the car (meanwhile, nothing has changed with the phone) and the problem is back. Tell me, do you really think you can attribute that issue to the phone (especially given that it's pretty well established at this point that this iteration Sync/MFT has a lot of bugs?) I have an HTC Incredible, running Cyanogen 7 as well Since having this issue where fuse 29 helped and then the BT audio broke again I've repaired the phone and fiddled with settings on Sync/MFT to no avail. $100 says if I yanked fuse 29 again everything would work again (for 1 car ride at least...)
  6. Hello all, I think I've finally reached my break point with my MFT/Sync system. Since purchasing the vehicle in January it has largely been excellent in every way except the Sync/MFT. I had to take it in for svc once to correct the black screen problem (with 2.7 does seem to have fixed) but now am running into an extremely annoying Bluetooth Audio bug. The long and short of it is this (FYI this is an android phone with both Mp3s on the device AND a streaming music service (audiogalaxy)). Recently I've found that when I select my Bluetooth Audio (which is showing up under the Audio Source menu correctly as "MC") it will attempt to connect, connect for maybe 1 second then disconnect immediately. After this occurs the Audio Source menu changes to reflect that no BT Audio source is found (I think the standard Source button is "BT Audio" or somesuch). This is all occuring while the phone is paired and functioning with no problems. Pulling fuse 29 fixed the issue for one trip but as soon as I turned the car off/on again the problem was back. Has anyone else run into this issue? It's not an issue on the phone's end I can assure you. The functionality of MFT/Sync is great WHEN IT WORKS but at this point the software is half baked and needs a thorough debugging.
