I can't really hear the noise that well. The whining from my PTU was very distinct.

I have a 2008 Edge with the 3.5L Engine that has been misfiring. I just recently changed out all the coil packs, spark plugs and intake gasket. That seemed to work for about a week and then it started misfiing again. The engine light does not come on and a local garage nor a local dealership has been able to tell me what is the problem. They both have run diagnostics and scans. The History: The first time I had this checkd out by a local garage, they found one of the cylinders dropping off while I was driving it with the guy in the vehicle with me with a computer hooked up to it.. I changed that coil and it worked great for about a year. Then it started misfiring again. I again took it back to the same garage and they were unable to determine which cylinder was misfiring. So I decided to give the dealer a shot and let them run a diagnostic on it. The only thing they could find was where I had left something unplugged where I had changed the plugs. So I put another set of plugs in it and that did not fix it. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA? THANKS!

I took it to a local garage and the mechanic told me it was the PTU. I had them replace it and the noise is gone.

Not really, except when the engine covers up the noise.

I have a whining noise of some sorts that gets louder when I accelerate. The only time I can tell it does this other than accelerating has been going down a hill. I had thought this was possibly the power steering belt. I had it replaced along with the drive belt and the noise quit, but know a few months later, the noise has returned. I had a dealer check it out and was told it was a bearing in the transmission. I thought it was strange that the noise wuite when I had the belt replaced and now it it back. The vehicle is an ALL-wheel Drive 08 Edge. Does anyone have any idea?

I actually was able to reset the sunshade and moon roof by holding down the closed button on the moon roof for 10 seconds.

My sunshade has stopped working. It is in the closed position and will not open. However, The Vista Sunroof will open. Any ideas?
