So I dropped off my Edge to have the brake booster replaced. While I was there I asked if they could install my USB hub for a half hour labor. He said he would check.
I just picked it up and they charged me .4 hours to swap the hub. ( 50.00 ) No headaches, guess I chickened out.
Happy it's done

Great explanation. Thank you!

How did you go about swapping out the hub? Thanks all for the info. I installed the new hub part #: HC3Z19A387B & software today with no problems. I don't recall seeing this previously in this thread so I just want to add that after the new hub was installed Sync3 1.0 displayed that the USB hub was not supported. However the hub still worked and allowed my USB device to load in the new software. Once the new software was installed the USB hub message didn't come back.
Thanks again!!

Yes that's right, and no need to remove the chrome. As mentioned you may need to remove the plastic that runs around the back of the stereo near that cubby that passes through from the passenger side to the drivers side. You may also need to pull the lower trim panel off that runs from the floor up to the part you marked in your photo. All depends on whether you can get a tool in to pop the tabs down.
Great info. Thanks
The wire connectors are disconnected from the topside? Just pull out the cable or are there clips to press?
Thanks again. Will attempt once the temp warms up

Ok. Thanks for the quick reply
Just a FYI. After the update I turned off car. Hour later restarted and the Nav wouldn't connect. A simple restart solved that issue, all is good

Hello again
I just updated to 2.2 ( with Nav ). I see Android but I do not see Apple CarPlay. Do I need to swap out the hub before it shows up?
Sorry if this has been posted before

Sorry. Meant the website notifications

Somewhat off topic but no matter what I do I can't seem to enable notifications . I checked the boxes, hit save

USPS small priority box. Maybe ran over by a hand truck. Who knows

I wonder how many months before it becomes available. And cost

I called my dealer and explained the situation. They are ordering the brake booster and will let me know when it's in. Also getting a loaner
Always happy with the service department

That isn't my car, I DO have Sync 3

This piece correct? And no need to remove the chrome piece?
-
Sorry for the delay. For some reason I don't get post notifications even though I have it turned on. I updated to Sync 1.1 and all is working fine now. WiFi keeps the connection
Thanks again

I remember someone mentioning to remove the right side trim piece on center console and the piece that goes through the pass through under it to access the underside of the USB hub. Anyone have a how to or video?

I have a 2016 with a bad booster. You would think this would be straightened out by now
-
Really doesn't do much unless you have the 2017 year model. Than you can remote start and unlock doors via its 4G connectivity Pretty much like GM OnStar
-
Sync 3 doesn't have health report

Thanks everyone

Smartlink OBD
Appears to be worth looking at for total connectivity

This a simple repair or will they need to keep it for a day?

Hello
My brakes are very sensitive when pulling out of the driveway. I googled and think I found out why.
Anyone else experience this?

But it is definitely more useful for someone without factory Nav. I got it to see if it improves over time
