  1. I've been using Sylvania H11 SilverStar Ultra High Performance Halogens (low beams), but I don't like the yellowish tint of the light and prefer a more brilliant white/blue hue, without blinding other drivers of course. What headlight bulbs do you all use or like best? Thank you in advance. ?
  2. When I use my fob to unlock the car, the side mirrors shift up every time. The button on the driver side to control the passenger front window is also not working, so not sure if that's related. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

  5. Hey guys and gals. Ok so it's been a while since I've posted about this. Let me tell you, it's been a pain in the arse making trip after trip (50 miles round trip each time) to have them inspect and refill my tires, renting loaners, using the TSB to get ONE new wheel out of Ford. I finally suggested they do a tire rotation just to see if mixing the wheels and tires up will help with the leaking by creating a better seal. ??? IT WORKED! I have not had any leaks since that day and it's been almost a year. Just thought I'd share in case any of you want to give it a try and see if just maybe it might work for you too. Good luck!
  6. I have a 2009 Edge Sport with the two-tone leather interior (black and gray). Looking for suggestions as to how to clean the suede or microfiber leather. I put a box of stuff on the seat and it left a stain (I'm guessing from the print on the bottom of the box). I bought a bottle of Meguiar's leather cleaner/conditioner but not sure if that would work on the suede part of the seat.
  7. I have the two-tone leather interior (black and gray).
  8. Not sure about the newer models or if they're the same brand. I haven't taken mine back in yet but I had Ford send me a report showing the history I've had with this issue. I might try the general manager next and see what he says.
  9. Ok, so I started this thread almost a year ago and since then I have taken my car to the dealer COUNTLESS times to get this issue resolved. After many attempts at them sending my car to Goodyear or Les Schwab to fix the "bead leak" and presenting the TSB for the 22's, Ford replaced both driver's side wheels. Since then I have had the SAME issue with the new driver's side front wheel. I've had to repeatedly drop my car off for at least a day to have them "fix" it, but I am still getting the same issue weekly. Aside from the dealer, I put air in it myself constantly and it's always the same wheel. I've had it checked for leaks in the tire, but the tire is fine. I refuse to keep taking it in every week for something that is not going to be truly fixed. I live about 45 minutes away from the dealer, so this is really inconvenient aside from interrupting my work schedule constantly. So as of now, the "Low Tire Pressure" light is on once again and I'll be making another trip to put air in it until next week. Not sure what to do at this point. Wish I could afford to get different wheels.
  10. Not sure if they have a TSB for the 20's. I didn't start having issues with mine until my car was about 2 years old. Oddly enough, the new wheels that Ford finally replaced are having the same issues again.
  11. So it's been 6 months and now the SAME issue with the SAME wheel after the last one was supposedly replaced. They use Goodyear to service the 22" wheels... not impressed.
  12. Check the previous page of this thread and print out the TSB about these wheels. It's on "FordGuru's" post. It helped me immensely because there is proof from Ford regarding this wheel issue. They have to follow the procedures in the TSB. Hope this helps!
  13. I was only told they "cleaned" the beads, so not sure exactly what they used to try and fix it. Not sure about your dealer but the one here sends my car to Goodyear since the dealer does not have the right equipment for those wheels. *shrug*
  14. I was told by the dealer last week that the manufacturer has made upgrades to the wheels in response to the TSB issue, so we'll see. They also said that since there is a service history regarding the wheels, if the new ones DO leak, they will fix it at no cost. Best of luck with yours. You'd think that paying a higher price for a vehicle, you wouldn't have to deal with stuff like this.
  15. I took a copy of the TSB in on Friday, March 30th and they did the research, took a bunch of pictures and submitted it to Ford for an approval to get 2 new wheels. I got a call on Monday, April 2nd saying the request was approved and the wheels are on order. They should be in this week. Tomorrow is Friday, so we'll see if I get a call to finally bring it in to get my wheels replaced. The service manager said there is no way Ford would replace all 4 wheels if the issue wasn't with all 4. *shrug* So I'll be getting both drivers side wheels replaced and make sure I constantly make right turns just to show them off. lol
  16. Hey guess what? Got the "low tire pressure" warning again today FOR THE THIRD TIME. Scheduled an appointment, had them look up the TSB about the wheels so they can view it when I bring my car in next week. UGH.
  17. There are only 20k miles on it, so it's still under factory warranty thankfully. Thank you for the advice.
  18. Thank you for attaching the TSB. I will talk to them about it next time this happens, which I'm sure it will soon. They've already taken the wheels off and cleaned the bead seat area twice, so technically the next step would be a replacement. *Technically*
  19. I have a 2009 Ford Edge Sport with 22" Pirelli wheels that I bought brand new in July 2009. Around mid November last year the "low tire pressure" light came on. After checking the tires, the air was low on the driver side rear tire. I didn't think too much of it, so I put air in the tire and went on my way. About a month later, the "low tire pressure" light came on again, so I took my car to Les Schwab to have them check for leaks. They told me it was a bead leak on the driver side rear tire, so they cleaned the wheel and sent me on my way. Another month later it happens AGAIN, so this time I take it to Ford since my car is still under factory warranty. They do the exact same thing and tell me I shouldn't have the problem again. Well now it's been a few weeks since I was there and I had to take it in again. What's funny is that this time they told me it's the driver side FRONT wheel. After reading the forums and other sites about these wheels, it seems to be a common issue. I'm just not sure what to say next time I take it in. I'm worried they'll try to push me past the factory warranty date with their temporary fix so I'll have to pay for a new set of wheels. lol
