It finally came!!! It took 6 weeks exactly to build and ship, and these were the longest 6 weeks ever!!! I picked it up last Thursday and cannot stop driving it. It is ultra smooth (even with those 22s) and ultra quiet. I get plenty of stares, whether at a red light or when I pass someone on the highway. Just have two minor problems. One is that the USB plays music but there is no sound. Second is that my phone works perfectly when I call someone or when a receive a call, but there is no audio stream. When I click on bluetooth stream, it has my device connected but disconnects once I try to play audio. Any suggestions for these problems? Other than that, I am very happy with this vehicle so far :happy feet:
Congrats! It's beautiful. Which phone do you own?

I noticed the same thing when I test-drove the Edge. I will be downsizing from the Chevy Tahoe, so I'm expecting to feel more cramped in the Edge. But, the center console and the headrest were two areas of discomfort for me.

1st or 2nd generation Edge? I could provide a pic of mine (2007 -> 1st gen.)
Good question. I'll take a picture of your '07 if you've got it. I just want to see how well the tow package is integrated into the rear of the vehicle.

Does anybody that has the factory installed tow package have a picture of the rear of their vehicle they could post? I have been to a couple of dealerships and been watching for an example out on the road, without any luck. I want to see how well the tow hitch is integrated into the rear of the vehicle. Thanks in advance.

I've been driving a 2004 Chevy Tahoe Z71 that I bought used 5 years ago. It's time to replace it and as one of my sons heads off to college, it's an opportunity to downsize a bit. The styling of the Ford Edge caught my eye a couple of years ago and when I read about the improvements made in the 2011 model, I decided that it would be my next car. I will be waiting to make my purchase for a few months to let the 2012s come out and the resale prices of the '11s to drop a bit, and then be on a search for a white or black limited with the adaptive cruise control, a tow package (dirt bike rider), and a black interior. I'll be looking for one with 15-25k miles on it, so that it's still well within it's warranty. I like to join forums such as this one to get a clear picture of where the vehicle's trouble spots exist, so that I can be an educated shopper. It certainly looks like the MFT is the main sticking point with this vehicle, which I actually take as a positive. The ability to update the software and eventually fix the system negates the level of seriousness of the problem in my mind. This may sound a bit naive to those of you who are stuggling with the MFT, but I'm going to be optimistic and believe that there will be relatively bug-free update available by the time I buy. One area of concern for me, that I will be watching the forum for ideas to solve, is the headrest. I'm 6'3" and it puts me in a VERY uncomfortable position. I've seen the 'take out and turn around' and 'swap with back seats' solutions. So, I'll be lurking around for awhile and hopefully be able to ask some intelligent questions along the way.
Adaptive Cruise -> Ridiculous!

I'm in the market for a used 2011 Edge and have been watching this forum for feedback on the adaptive cruise control. It's good to hear that Ford got it right on this piece of technology.
