It's been almost a month now since the dealership performed the transmission reprogram under TSB 13-03-18 and I'm convinced that it was the solution to the transmission clunk/slam issue.

Replacing the APIM did NOT solve my Bluetooth connectivity issues. I still have occasional skipping/speed issues. What's even worse is that I still have the problem of the Bluetooth input being locked-up after a vehicle restart. Frustrating!

I easily carry 3 sets of clubs in the back of my Edge, with the seats up. 4 sets would not be a problem either. You have to angle the clubs to get them in, but they do fit.

I should have added that the APIM replacement was being done under warranty. I had taken the car to the dealership 5 times complaining of Bluetooth connectivity issues and finally got a tech who listened and cared. (so easy just to give a 'could not replicate' answer) APIM replacement was done yesterday and after 4 stop/starts it has reconnected to the iphone just fine, and no music speed or skipping issues yet. Way too early to be conclusive, so my fingers remained crossed.

I have experienced the Bluetooth anomalies that you are describing, but with an iPhone 4. I'm getting a new APIM installed at the dealership tomorrow. Hopefully that will be the answer.

The dealership did the 13-03-18 TSB trans. reprogram on my Edge. Only time will tell if it is the answer to my trans clunk/slam issue. Fingers crossed.

I have the same issue and have been to the dealer at least 5 times about it. It's never been replicated and never been fixed. My Edge is at the dealership today with bluetooth connection issues, a rattle, and I reported the tranny slam issue once again. We'll see if they actually do anything about it this time.

What version of IOS are you using on your phone? Last time I updated the IOS on my iPhone 4, I had the same kind of connection issues you are describing. As Jeffdelta says, the master reset of MFT was the solution.

I can confirm that it worked on an iPhone 4 with OS 5.

OS6 on iPhone no longer supporting text messaging for me. Was working prior to upgrade. Checked on both iPhone 4 and iPhone 5.

I recently upgraded my iPhone 4 to IOS 6.1.2. The immediate result was a loss of connectivity between the phone and MFT. The solution to the problem that I found is to : 1.) Delete phone from MFT. 2.) On iPhone, go to Setting, then General, then Reset, then Reset Network Settings. 3.) Re-pair iPhone to MFT. Worked for me. Hopefully it will work for you if you are experiencing the same connnectivity problem.

iPhone 4 running ios 6. 3.5.1 version of MFT. Unpaired, repaired phone. Turned phone on and off 2 times. Toggled bluetooth on and off multiple times. I see no ability to turn on a 'show notifications' option anywhere under 'Sync' on the iPhone's bluetooth menu. What am I missing?

My brakes make a groaning noise just before coming to a full stop, when they're cold. I haven't addressed it with the dealer for the reason that Guerro mentions.

When you listen to music from your iphone via bluetooth, and then you shut down the car, what happens when you restart? I have an on-going problem with the iphone/bluetooth connection being frozen when I restart the car.

Spaceman, No, it was $182 each. I'm not sure how the headrests come out of the seat back. I was going to figure that out after I pick up the new headrests on Tues.

I was in at my dealership and had to wait a bit so I stopped by the parts department to see if I could get any new info. on the tilt adjustable headrests. To my surprise, the guy found part #BT4Z*78611A08*BH and special ordered two for me. They're supposed to be coming in a week, so I'll post back to let you know how they work-out. $182/headrest. Ouch. The part# listed above is incorrect! The parts department ordered the stationary version, not the tilt adjustable version.

I have been experiencing the transmission slam issue (occurs once every other week on avg.) and have taken to the dealership twice for repairs. They cannot duplicate the problem and therefore won't (can't) fix it. I brought in TSB 11-5-6 with me, but that didn't help. They call into Ford and are told they won't pay for the TSB 11-5-6 repairs without being able to duplicate the problem. I'll be going back a third time this week to take it for a drive with the Service Manager and some special tech. guy they're bringing in. I'll do my best to get the tranny to slam, but it's not easy to do. Wish me luck!

I have a 2011 Limited and had looked into this a couple of times over the past 6 mo. with no success. The dealerships keep asking me for the VIN# of an Edge with the tilt adjustable headrests. They don't seem to have a part number of a headrest for the 2012s that are different from the 2011s, so they can't order a 2012 version for me. PLEASE, follow up with a post if you have success in ordering the tilt adjustable headrests.

Where did you find the "Zoom = Auto" setting? I looked under the settings under Navigation on the touchscreen and couldn't find anything having to do with Zoom. Thx in advance.

Have you tried using Google Maps to send the address/directions to the car through sync? Works like a charm for me.

My iPhone4 is also working fine after the update, but I have experienced some of the same BT audio streaming issues that I had previously. Entertainment system defaults back to AM/FM after shutting down and restarting, BT Audio volume is much lower than AM/FM, BT Audio locked-up after a call came in... the system still needs some work in this area.

My ride is at the dealership now for warranty repairs and they're telling me that they don't have their MFT update package yet. Sounds like BS?

What is Ford's official policy for repairing problems that are addressed by a TSB, but that cannot be reproduced by the technician? I have the transmission thump issue on my 2011 Edge, brought the car and TSB 11-5-6 into my dealership, and they will not do the repair because they cannot reproduce the issue. I have 6k miles on the car and have had the thump occur maybe 5 or 6 times. The odds of them reproducing the problem on a short test drive are minimal. I have agreed to let the Tech take the car home with him to do a more extensive test drive, so hopefully I'll get lucky and he'll get it to thump, but my guess is that I'm going to get the 'cannot reproduce' answer tomorrow morning.
