  1. Does anyone know how the electric park brake works on the new edge. Does it have cables anymore or does it use the hydraulic control unit to apply the brakes for parking?
  2. Does anyone know if a after market cargo mat is available yet for the 2015 edge? If so where did you buy and how does it fit?
  3. Almost $400 for a new hatch module. I might just have to live with it. I was hoping that they could just reprogram it, but I guess just on the later models. Wondering if I can find a used one from a 2012 or 2013 to solve this problem?
  4. Traded a 2009 Chevy traverse in on the new edge. 100 000 km because the traverse had many issues with the engine and transmission. Engine timing chains stretch and wave plate breaks on the transmission. Can't trust it anymore. I have a 2011 edge that has been flawless, so that helped our decision.
  5. No it has done it from new but thought it was normal.
  6. I have this problem too on my 2011 edge AWD. It's not a rotten egg smell but very close to propane. I had this exact smell on my 2009 Chevy traverse AWD in which there was a tsb in which the smell was coming from the transmisson transfer case venting and the smell entering the cabin. I'm wondering if this is the same issue.
  7. 2011 edge when I go to close the hatch and while it is closing, I start the car it opens back up. I heard that there was a tsb to fix this problem. Does anyone know what the fix is or had it done.
  8. Same size wheels. 20". Just over all seems like a lot more power in the 2011.
  9. Is it just me, but I have a 2011 edge with the 3.5 and it seems to have a lot more power at lower RPM with the a/c on. My 2015 3.5 seems to have no power at low RPM. Between 20-40 MPH. This seems to be only with the a/c on. Anyone else have this problem? There can't be much difference between the 2 engines. I heard that the 2015 is supposed to have more horsepower too.
  10. New to this forum. I have a 2015 edge and tested the cooling seats today and the back of the seat is very hot to the touch. Does anyone know yet, is it just as easy of a fix as the f150. Has anyone tried to fix either by themselves or through the dealer?
  11. I have a 2011 Ford Edge that had the same problem. The left signal was on all the time while driving straight and wouldn't turn off unless I held the lever in the right signal position. Spent the day today looking at the problem. Took the covers off the column and removed the 2 screws holding the switch on the column. With the switch off removed the 2 screws that held the circuit board to the switch. Under the board was 2 contacts with I cleaned and applied new dielectric grease. I put the circuit board back on and installed the switch and it works perfectly now. Only took about 15 minutes and cost nothing.
