With all due respect, severe corrosion on a 3 year old car is unusual. I firmly believe there is an overcharging problem with the car that is causing the battery acid to boil and condense on the battery surface.
There was a significant amount of corrosion residue on the engine and fender well around the battery. As I said I have a 98 Explorer that I have owned since it was new and it is cleaner than many cars 1/2 it's age and it has been bulletproof for 13 years.
Again, I respect all of your comments but I had to make the decsison to spend my money where I thought best. But I have to say, I still liked that Edge.
I would still consider an Edge but i am going to save up to buy new.
Have a great day everyone.
