Was happy with my colors, but did go with Drivers Entry package,Vision package and Voice navigation.

Had some good fortune this past weekend and went to my local Ford Dealer and they agreed to buy my just ordered 2012 SEL and I then ordered a 2012 Limited. Very happy with my decision. With z-plan, the difference was only $1800 over my SEL configuration. Thanks again to all here for your help.

After long deliberation and lots of help from this forum, I ordered a 2012 SEL FWD today. Got the 205A package, Vision, Power Liftgate and Navigation package. Went with Mineral Gray for ex and Medium Light Stone for interior. This just squeezed into my budget. But considering my current ride is a 2002 Taurus, this looks like a great investment. Now the hard part...waiting.

Looking at the 2012 Major product Changes .pdf dated 8/1/11, I am seeing the following: Medium light stone interior trim(EL,FL & GL) Carpet and Floor Mats are changing from Medium Light Stone to Agate. Change is effective at Job 1. Does this mean if I order a 2012 now, I will not be able to get Medium Light Stone? Does Job 1 mean starting now? Thanks

With Z plan the difference is $2100. Am I missing any other differences? Perhaps I am minimizing the value of the differences.

Went back and forth on 2011 or 2012 and have decided to order a 2012. Now unsure on whether SEL or Limited. If SEL, I would order the following: 3.5 V6 FWD 205A Package Vision Package Power Liftgate Voice Navigation All Weather Floor mats If Limited, i would order the following: 3.5 V6 FWD Drivers Entry package Vision Package Voice Navigation All Weather Floor Mats The SEL would be: Base $30,945 Options $4360 Destination $825 Total $36130 MSRP The Limited would be: Base $34,800 Options $2250 Destination $825 Total $37,875 MSRP I am Z-plan so discounts would apply. Am I correct, for my configuration, that the only difference for me on the Limited over the SEL would be the following: Upgraded stereo 12 speakers and HD radio Perimeter Alarm Intelligent Access Push Button Start Remote Start Universal Garage Door Opener Upgraded 10 way Passenger Power seat vs. 6 way on SEL Am I also correct the driver memory feature is included in the SEL 205A package, or is it only available on the Limited? If you had to choose between these 2 configurations, which would you choose? Appreciate all criticisms and comments. Thanks.

Added. Finally some good news out of Columbus, Ohio.

I miss penny candy...going to the 5 and dime store to buy pixie sticks...our local grocery store would sell a hot dog and a pepsi for 25 cents every Saturday......I miss spending all day looking for pop bottles to return to the store so I could buy a pop from the pop machine...the same pop machine where you put in a dime and pulled out the bottle of pop and then used the opener on the machine to open it......I miss playing high school football and having the coaches with hold water from us as punishment.....I miss being able to fit up in the back window of my parents car(while they were driving)......I miss Adam 12 and Emergency........I miss Strat-o-Matic Baseball......I miss when the Harlem Globetrotters were on Scooby-Doo........I miss my Dingo boots.....Even miss my Members Only jacket.......Don't miss the President being on all three channels at the same time......I miss getting free air at the gas station......I miss the smell of whatever was in that green bottle at the barbershop........I miss my transistor radio.......I miss Evil Knievel .........I miss my G.I. Joe(with the kung-fu grip).....I miss hitting a roll of caps with my Dad's hammer......I certainly have come a long way from having to roll down the car window to feel cooler in the car, now I just say,"65 degrees".

Today I checked if the incentives had changed for the 2012 Edge in my area. Last week it showed as $1000 available in my area. Today it shows no incentives are available. Does anyone see incentives available in their area for the 2012?

Deciding on what options and a little confused with the 205A package. On Ford.com for the 2012 Edge SEL FWD, under the build it page, the 205A package lists the following: Equipment Group 205A Includes all standard Edge SEL FWD features plus: Vision Package including Bliss with Cross Traffic Alert Leather Comfort Package Voice-Activated Navigation System However, on the 2012 Edge SEL Series Equipment Group order form dated 6/13/11 it shows the 205A package as including MyFord Touch, Rearview Camera, Leather Comfort Package and Ambient Lighting. When I try to build my car on the site, I need to add Vision package and the Voice Activated Navigation system. When I click on the details of the 205A package, it only gives me the list of standard features. Has someone ordered the 205A package for the 2012? What did it include? Thanks.

Hello everyone. I am currently shopping for a new Edge. Just starting the process. I started out shopping for another Taurus(it would have been number 4) and thought to sit in an Edge to see what it looked like. It was love at first ......sit. Best feeling car seat ever. Absolutely love the look inside and out of the Edge. Took a test drive and forgot about the Taurus. I am looking for a 2011 SEL FWD in any color other than black or white with sand interior, package 202A and Navigation. My Ford dealer has been unable to locate this in a five state region. So I am deciding on bending on my requirements or getting a 2012. Enjoying this forum as well as the Ford Sync forum(newbie with Sync). After I make my decision, I hope to be able to contribute to the forum.
