Received my Edge with the dealer install hitch, I am happy with it and I do like how it looks. I also like how they put the plug for the wireing. I will post picks later. Wife has it now. :offtopic: Hey Akirby everything ok here??? I know your lurking out there some where. LOL :poke: :tease:

Well I will put my 2cents in on this. Not to be a know it all but, I am in the powder coating business. I am Q.C in the making of powder coatings. I know we supply a lot of wheel companys and I have seen some of the product after a few years. Would I change my rims from a chrome to a powder coating? No. I would suggest if you did to make sure they use the wheel clear coat too. Just my opionion.

I love this, I lock my keys in my taurus when I go to work and just punch the code and walla.... Only down fall sorry to say this wife has a highlander (BOOOOOOOOO) LOL I almost locked the keys in it. Habit....Talked some sence in the woman and I am getting her the edge. Toyota was before me. LOL

ahhh ding ding ding Light bulb just turned on....LOL Thanks , for the life of me I couldn't understand what the front grill had to do with towing. LOL Now I understand......

Sorry to ask , but what does this base plate have to do with towing? Is there something I need to watch if I am adding a hitch to my 2011 edge?

Not sure if I should have dealer install hitch or should I go a different route. One dealer says it will void my warrenty. The one putting it on says it won't . Any suggestions?
